Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

The Historic Shearers Quarters are located 11 kms from SH1, on a working farm that has remained in the family for four generations. We are based in the beautiful Kawhatau Valley. A unique accommodation in the heart of the Rangitikei. Light the old shacklock stove, sit back and enjoy peace and quiet- all while only 10 mins from the superb Dukes Roadhouse Cafe. Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Waireka Apartment, situated in Ohakune in the Ruapehu District is a self contained 2 bedroom apartment each with a queen size bed, a large lounge with mountain views, kitchen and own spa pool.
