Bianca and Rob were incredibly gracious hosts during our long weekend. From the start of our booking, Bianca offered to book dinner reservations, wine tastings, and local hikes, all to make our stay memorable. Our biggest regret is we took her dinner recommendation: after our first meal with her we knew we should have eaten every meal at the studio. Bianca is a fantastic cook and everything was incredibly fresh (we watched Rob forage the fruit and vegetables from their amazing garden!) Rob and Bianca designed and built the entire space themselves and we loved hearing Rob’s story of building it from the ground up. The space was a labor of love and it was comfortable and beautiful down to every thoughtful detail, with the perfect amount of seclusion to unwind. I’ve stayed at so many home stays all over the world and I’ve never felt so welcome and at home with such genuine people. Wonderful stay. Even more wonderful people. Counting down till we can come back again.

A perfect house, where everything is thought out to the smallest detail. A large living room, where it was nice to light a fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine. A separate bedroom with a very comfortable large bed and a large window. It was very sunny and fresh there. You will also have a large balcony where you can have breakfast or work with a stunning view of the mountain. We travel and work remotely, so good internet is important for us – and here it was very fast, which is a huge plus, because it is not always the case in houses in South Africa. And we were also pleased to meet the owners of the house – super nice guys, thank you for your hospitality! ❤️

We had a fantastic stay at Maureen’s cottage in Hermanus! The location is perfect—just a (very) short walk to the town center with great shops, restaurants, and stunning walkways, and it’s only a 10-minute drive to beautiful sandy beaches. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it’s close to town, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect spot to relax. A big bonus was that it’s pet-friendly—we loved being able to bring our dog along! Maureen was a wonderful host—super friendly, laid-back, and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back!

Très bon séjour chez Jonathan, notre logement a été changé pour des chambres individuelles vue mer à la place de l’appartement vue sur la cours sans supplément :) Les parties communes sont sublimes avec une décoration digne d’une galerie d’art. Dommage la piscine était trop froide pour se baigner. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et très copieux et à savoir que l’hôte proposait le service de restauration nous aurions également réservé pour le repas du repas soir.

Das Haus von Alheit ist ein Traum! Perfekt gelegen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Bucht. Mit etwas Glück kann man sogar Seehunde und Wale beobachten. Das Haus ist nicht nur sehr schön, sondern auch großzügig, durchdacht gebaut, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hervorragend ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit Alheit und seinem Co-Host Jacques war ausgezeichnet – sie waren immer erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder wählen, falls wir nach Pringle Bay zurückkehren.

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Tage im Gästehaus „On the Rocks“ verbracht – vor allem die Lage hat uns beeindruckt: direkt an der wilden Küste, mit Blick auf die Wellen, die gegen die Felsen schlagen – ein spektakuläres Naturschauspiel. Das Haus ist stilvoll, modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Besonders angenehm: die Heizdecken im Bett, die nach einem stürmischen Tag für Wärme sorgten. Auch der Service war top – super herzliche Gastgeber, tolle Restauranttipps und ein liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück. Kleinere Mängel gab es dennoch: Manche Bereiche wie die schwergängige Balkontür oder der korrodierte Badspiegel wirken etwas abgenutzt. Außerdem war der Jacuzzi bei Nutzung leider kalt – er wurde zwar auf Wunsch angeschaltet, benötigte aber mehrere Stunden zum Aufheizen. Bei dem eher hohen Preis fallen solche Details etwas mehr ins Gewicht. Trotzdem war der Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr toll und definitiv empfehlenswert😊

Jackie’s place was lovely. She was very hospitable and always quick to help. The place was clean and cosy with all the amenities we needed. The location was beautiful being right on the coast and also managed to see the endemic Cape Rock Jumper.

The vintage decor made it cozy and nostalgic, while being impeccably clean and comfortable. Best of all, it was pet-friendly, allowing our dogs to enjoy the adventure too! Evenings spent stargazing around the campfire were unforgettable, and the serene surroundings provided a peaceful escape from daily life. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, offering great local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. This was a unique and relaxing getaway for both us and our furry friends. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. The home was well suites to the needs of our family and was equipped with everything we needed to have an amazing stay. Eendag home was wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We only stayed 3 nights and it so happened that it rained 2 out of the 3 days. The fact that the house is so spacious and has sooooo many things to entertain yourself with, made it easy to still make the best of our holiday, albeit indoors. We especially loved the pool table and the table tennis and the cosy fireplace in the lounge. The best thing I can say about Eendag House is that I really want to go back again. Thanks so much, Maretha, for being a kind and helpful host and for making us feel at home in your beautiful guesthouse.

Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber mit einem tollen Aufenthaltsbereich im Obergeschoss. Die Kommunikation mit Kitta war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Harbour House Hotel wärmstens empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Frühstück sehr lecker und die Aussicht ist ein absoluter Traum. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und mit allen ausgestattet, das man braucht. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: es wird sehr warm im Zimmer dadurch dass es nur ein wirkliches Fenster nach draußen gibt. Es ist jedoch völlig aushaltbar und der Deckenventilator hilft sehr und dadurch, dass er nicht direkt über dem Bett hängt, kann er auch nachts leise weiterlaufen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Our stay with Harry and Steyn was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Harry spoiled us with his incredible chef skills, crafting the most amazing healthy and delicious breakfasts each morning, a real highlight of our stay! Heel veel dank voor het fijne verblijf in jullie geweldige hotel. Alles was even goed verzorgd, het ontbijt was heerlijk en de hulp en aanwijzingen die we kregen hebben ons verblijf extra bijzonder gemaakt. Ik weet zeker dat we terug zullen komen!

This place is comfortable, affordable and very friendly. Johannes has clearly seen a great deal of the world, and with it, developed a special perspective which makes for a unique and interesting addition. I've stayed in Die Kelders six times now, and Johannes's place is definitely somewhere that I would recommend to others visiting this amazing little spot.
