An absolute gem of a getaway, perfect place to rest and relax in idyllic countryside surroundings. Very comfy bed and such a cute little place. Wood Fired hot tub made star gazing pretty special. Would definitely book again.

Even though we had to cut our stay a bit short it was lovely while we was there. The night sky with zero light pollution is truly stunning and beautiful to see sitting outside staring at the stars was truly lovely. The quietness of the village made it feel nice and remote away from life of a busy town or city just what we needed.

Ideal spot for a very relaxed couple of days with friends. The house is spacious, comfortable and excellently equipped for young families. We loved being able to walk to the local park and pub, both a short stroll through the pretty village. The generous garden and friendly ponies at the end of the lane were both big bonuses for us! Claire was great at answering our questions and sent very helpful info ahead of our stay. We’d definitely stay again.

The Old Stables Retreat, Northfield Farm

We loved our time here! Location is perfect, so nice to be on a farm with such friendly dogs/cats and other animals to greet. Jan was very welcoming, he greeted us on arrival and showed us around the Airbnb. Explained where things were, how things worked etc. Jan was very generous with the breakfast bundle (bacon, sausages, eggs and bread), also with his recommendations of things to do in the area, and very generous showing us around the farm and explaining a little more about how it all operates there. The Airbnb is bigger than we expected, and the bed was very comfortable. Looking forward to coming back at some point. Many thanks!

Just finished a lovely couple of days stay with our two teen girls and dogs. Well fitted out and very clean cabin with comfy beds and linen. Great space to relax and unwind with fab restaurants and shops within the Marina. Rob is a great host providing loads of info plus additionally going above and beyond when our car had a fault guiding us to a garage locally who fixed the problem the next day! We’ll be back!

My husband, dog and I have a wonderful stay at Julia’s place. It was exactly as described, set in a peaceful and private setting with lots of local walks nearby. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay ☺️

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Airbnb war einfach unglaublich! Von dem Moment an, als wir ankamen, waren wir überwältigt, wie sauber, stilvoll und gut ausgestattet die Unterkunft war. Die Gastgeber waren super reaktionsschnell, freundlich und haben alles gegeben, um sicherzustellen, dass wir eine tolle Erfahrung hatten. Der Check-in-Prozess verlief reibungslos und jeder Aspekt unseres Aufenthalts übertraf die Erwartungen. Wenn du auf der Suche nach einem komfortablen, stilvollen und stressfreien Kurzurlaub bist, brauchst du nicht lange weitersuchen! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten. WOW!!! What a lovely little pod. Saffron has really given the pod such character, it’s cozy and inviting and has all the essentials that you could possibly need. The hot tub was such a lovely luxury - it also being a log burner hot tub gave it that extra authentic touch to feel a little off the grid ! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Samantha & Colin were wonderful host, extremely good communication, with detailed check-in information. During our stay, Colin was superb and even delivered a couple of extra logs when we requested. property was so peaceful and perfect for our stay. we'd definitely stay again, thank you.

Such a rare find in such a beautiful location. We loved having nature on your doorstep and enjoyed how peaceful the surroundings are. The cabin felt like a home aways from home and the whole family enjoyed it, especially the dog. We were even lucky to see a few calfs that were only a few hours old in the barn.

Katie’s place was great and finished to a high level. We really enjoyed the space as a family, it was like home from home and we have recommended it to our local family (as we stayed fir a family occasion). She intends to recommend to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in the area 😀

Really lovely house with plenty of room for us all, 6 adults and 4 children. Very clean and everything we needed was there plus toys for the garden and the pool table etc in the garage. We all had a really great time and it was a good base for visiting local attractions.

Fantastic break away, beds extremely comfortable. Pub next door, and 4 other really decent pubs within walking distance. Walk into the woods and round to bradgate park was special, about 4.5 miles total. Great family time in lovely comfortable home.

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

Adele was a great host! Instructions were clear on how to get in, how to set the heater and the place was clean. There was even a note on Easter Sunday wishing us a happy Easter and there was chocolate. Very thoughtful.

As always another great apartment with Steve. We have stayed a few times in one of his other properties and have always had the best of times.Big tv, comfy big bed, great efficient heating if needed and piping hot water. Very individual, well thought out with everything you need, whether staying in or going out. Castle Donnington is a fantastic location, amazing village with so much to do from shopping for quirky gifts, massage, hair cut or eating and drinking. We have explored them all and loved it. We ate this time at Orissa, an incredible Indian, 5 minutes walk away. Donnington race track is a few minutes drive away. We always feel right at home. The on street parking is always easy.
