We only stayed for one very short night but Juanjo & Tess’ place was so warm and colorful I wish we’d been able to stay longer so we could get to know our hosts better! You truly can’t beat the location and the room was clean & cozy.

We had an amazing stay!The place was spotless, with every corner well-maintained. It was clean and felt fresh and welcoming. The kitchen had all the essentials — cookware, oven, coffee maker — and the bathroom was spacious and in great condition. The temperature was easy to control, ensuring comfort throughout our stay. A highlight of the house was the stunning artwork in every room, which made the place feel unique and special. The location was peaceful, next to a beautiful horse farm, and just a 10-minute drive from Egilsstaðir. We were lucky to see the Aurora Borealis right from the house’s big windows — a magical experience! Our host was very helpful, even informing us about the Aurora Borealis and quickly responding to any questions. Her recommendations made our stay even better. The house was perfect for our group of 5, with comfy beds, plenty of space, fast Wi-Fi, and a cozy atmosphere created by the decor and artwork. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The cottage was lovely and in a secluded location surrounded by bird-song and trees, just a short drive from Egilsstadir. The deck outside is expansive and would be great in warmer weather; as it is, the hot tub was terrific after a day of exploring, and for viewing the northern lights! The bedrooms are European-tiny without a lot of room for "stuff", but with only two of us, we were able to spread out a bit and it all worked out just fine. We very enjoyed our stay in this lovely family getaway.

Best host ever! This stay was one of the highlights of my journey. His dog Prada and the sheep farm equally lovely. Spectacular views, serene environment and lovely home. Makes me want to move to Iceland!

Die Unterkunft ist klein aber fein. Sehr sauber, alles da, was zum Kochen von einfachen Gerichten benötigt und nach hinten hat man einen fantastischen Ausblick. Zwei Kleinigkeiten haben uns dennoch ein wenig gestört. Die Häuschen sind sehr hellhörig und man kann die Gespräche der direkten Nachbarn deutlich hören. Und die Vorderseite der Unterkunft ist quasi eine Glasfront, welche allerdings auf den Kiesparkplatz zeigt und man sitzt beim Abendessen, wenn man die Jalousien nicht zu macht, auf dem Präsentierteller. Für ein oder zwei Nächte ist es perfekt und wir würden wieder kommen.

Auf unserer Island Rundreise haben wir über die Ostertage diese Unterkunft für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Jugendliche gebucht. Sie ist wirklich traumhaft. Vor allem die Lage! Wir konnten wunderschöne Fotos vom Sonnenuntergang und sogar von den Nordlichtern machen. Da hatten wir richtig Glück. Drinnen ist die Unterkunft wie auf den Fotos beschriebenen. Sie kam uns ein bisschen kleiner als erwartet, was uns aber nicht weiter störte. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen...allerdings haben wir auch vergleichsweise sehr viel bezahlt. Vielleicht lag das daran, weil Ostern war und weil wir so spät gebucht hatten, aber wir haben fast das doppelte bezahlt, was wir in anderen Blockhütten in Island bezahlt haben. Außer dem Preis können wir uns aber nicht beklagen und waren mega happy. Vielen Dank!

Parfait, hôte très accueillante et agréable. Vue magnifique depuis la chambre, le petit déjeuner était très complet et bon ! On se sent bien accueillis.
