Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Seeley Oaks A-Frame | Secluded Retreat on 40 Acres

This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience! The Seeley Oaks A-Frame is our slice of the peaceful Northwoods experience. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. It's small - intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. Lakeside cabin on pristine Diamond Lake in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest area just outside of Cable, Wisconsin. The Birkebeiner cross country ski trail and scores of other mountain biking, hiking, and snowmobiling trails are close by plus other public recreation opportunities (hunting, snowshoeing, bird watching, etc) abound in the nearby National Forest lands. Several other lakes, including Lake Namekagon and Lake Owen, are nearby for your boating and fishing pleasure.

Valhalla Townhouse is just a few miles outside the cute town of Cable Wisconsin. This property sits adjacent to an old ski hill and walking distance from the American Birkebeiner Trail head. Miles of trails are just out your door for cross country skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, hiking and ATV's. We fell in love with Hayward for the same reason so many people do: the lakes, the quiet, the slower pace, and how easy it is to feel connected to nature. The Cabin for Two sits at the end of a private road on a small wilderness lake, surrounded by county forest. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.

This is a cozy, studio size cabin with one queen bed, a bathroom, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker & outdoor grill.

Bring your boat(s), snowmobiles, or cross country skis - we have ample parking and docks for renters' use. NOTE: We have another cabin next door for groups that need a larger or additional space. The Hilltop on Lake Namakagon can sleep up to twelve.
