Lodge at Lake Lodge, One hour from Dublin on N4

Rent the complete house, Lake Lodge, is a bespoke converted lodge, set within thirty acres of rolling green countryside. The whole house is for you, it can sleep six adults. A ramblers retreat, the Lodge is a contained two bedroom guest house. Kitchen living and dining area with beams and wood burning stove. Barn is a modern open plan two bedroom with mazainee level. Complete with garden gazebo for outdoor dining. Wooded walk lands and access to Lough Owel for swimming or fishing, boat hire.

Situated in the grounds of the owner’s working farm, who are on hand to offer advice on the local area, the cottages are in an excellent central location on the Tipperary/Offaly border, almost equidistant from the picturesque town of Birr, 7½km, and one of the oldest towns in Ireland, Roscrea, 6km, and a 2km drive from Gloster house and wedding venue.

We are located very close to a local bog land which is excellent for exploring.

Kitty’s Cabin

Chill out on the verandah, with views across our farm to Lough Ree, while watching our pet goats play and our free range chickens roam. If you are visiting the Glasson/Athlone area for an event, conference, golf, fishing, boating or sightseeing, our Cabin will provide you with a comfortable, cosy and homely place for a couple or a family of four to stay. Our private, fenced cabin nestled on our farm's edge, offering stunning mountain, city, and sea views with complete privacy. It has hot shower, coffee machine, filtered water, kettle, gas heater, electric blanket, mini fridge, microwave and shared full kitchen access. Unwind in our sauna or hot tub for extra fee. Feel free to interact with our farm animals( horse ,donkeys,sheep , goats) A direct bus to the city center is just 350m away. Not suitable for infants or the infirm.
