The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). (Please note that the hosts live 15 mins away & not next door). With transport links nearby (bus, train, Stansted airport), the adventure starts here!

Nestled in open countryside next to our vineyard on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford, an ideal base to explore East Herts & North Essex or visit London & Cambridge. The Cowshed is a recently converted barn sleeping 5, complete with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfy seating around a woodburner. Egyptian cotton linen and black out blinds in all bedrooms. Outdoors enjoy the wood burning hot tub, feed the chickens, take a stroll round our lake or discover the zip wire in the wood!

Maltons, one of the area's finest restaurants is just at the end of the lane.

In the kitchen there is a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, microwave, mini air fryer oven, fridge, induction hob, pots and pans. Lovingly built, my shepherd’s hut is wonderful for a short break away from it all. Located in the rural village of Stocking Pelham in Herts, the surrounding area is perfect for country walks or cycling. Nearby pubs offer great beer and fabulous dining. A short drive away you have various attractions including Henry Moore, Audley End, and the lovely old market town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge and Newmarket are not too far either.
