Nestled between WV's highest peaks & within minutes of our country’s best fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, skiing, hunting, Civil War Sites, & historic trains, River House is a perfect base for all WV has to offer.

The Red Bull Inn Riverfront

The Red Bull Inn is a charming, rustic cabin on the river that is pet friendly. A hidden place with private river frontage along the Buckhannon River that provides excellent fishing. Whether you're enjoying the river or just relaxing by the bonfire, it's the place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. It has been completely renovated with all the modern conveniences including brand new beds and appliances. Within 6 miles of Audra State Park with beautiful hiking trails, tubing & fishing.

Come Enjoy Our Cozy Cabin in Bemis, WV

"Trout & About" Cabin located in Bemis, WV is the perfect place to unplug & enjoy the Appalachian Mountains located just 50 ft off the banks of the Shavers Fork River. Come enjoy fishing, swimming, hiking to Mule Hole & take a train ride to High Falls. Drive over the hill to Glady you will find the walking & bike trails of the West Fork Rail Trail. Come disconnect and unwind while taking in the beautiful WV mountains and fresh air. Please note there is NO cell service in the area.

Located in the pristine Mill Gap Valley. At night you can reach out and touch the stars. National Forrest is close by too. Enjoy the peace and tranquility that can only be offered in Highland county. The farm along with our Maple Syrup is certified Organic. From our apple trees to our hay and pastures. We are Organic! If you would like a tour of our farm or maple operation, let us know! By September 2020, there will be a new outdoor living area with a hot tub and dining.

Loggers Cabin With a Hot Tub (Top Only)

The Loggers Cabin is just that, owned by a local Logger. Recently restored & Hand Crafted with timber right off this very property. This is a 150 AC farm & bird hunting preserve. Relax in the hot tub, hike, Bring your ATV’s/UTV’s - ride for miles down local backroads. Plenty of space to park your boat or trailer. Public lands nearby offer fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, etc. 20 minutes from the popular Stonewall Resort. (NO WIFI, AT&T & Some other providers do have service

Historic suite for 2 by river. Porch & Kitchenette

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

Driftwood Cabin in Almost Heaven, Hacker Valley WV

This two-bedroom cabin sits on the bank of the Holly River. Enjoy the peaceful sound of the river as you relax on the covered front porch. The cabin has an outside fire ring and a beautiful fireplace inside for those chillier days and nights. Driftwood Cabin is 2.25 miles from the entrance of Holly River State Park and 1 mile from Holly River Grocery. We have an abundance of fishing, hunting, hiking, horse trails, four-wheeler trails or simply kick back and read a book.

The Redwood Retreat

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful location. Nestled in the heart of beautiful Green Bank, this creekside cottage provides close access to the Green Bank Observatory, Cass Scenic Railroad and Snowshoe. Child and pet-friendly home features 2 bedrooms, living room with dining area, and full kitchen. WiFi, Smart TV, and family-friendly games. Plenty of parking and large yard. Note: There is NO cell service in the Green Bank area. We do have WiFi with WiFi calling.

Wonderful views, amazing hikes, great fishing and tons of outdoor activities. For the protection and security of guests, we have installed a Ring Doorbell on the front door of our cottage.
