For the adventurers, there are plenty of walks directly from the cottages, or simply relax with spectacular views of the Pentland Hills.

Bring boots or bikes and head off from your own door. We’re situated close to the A702 making us a convenient stop over if you’re traveling up or down the country.

From the doorstep you can enjoy walks in native woodland next to Fairydean Burn and further beyond to open countryside tracks and hills a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life, whilst still only a short drive to Edinburgh. If you are lucky you might see some of our local wildlife including pheasant and tawny owls, bats, badgers, hedgehogs, deer, stoats and more.
