Close proximity (5 min walk) to the train station serving the Scottish Borders means that Edinburgh City centre is just 20 minutes, and Tweedbank 30 min, away.

Our guest suite is in a quiet residential area in Balerno; a village at the foot of the scenic Pentland Hills. A beautiful spot for walkers and nature lovers. To visit the city take a 25 minute car drive or the 44 Lothian bus at the end of the road for a 45 min bus ride to Edinburgh City Centre. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea and sugar plus cereal for your first breakfast. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafe & takeaways within a short walk. A parking spot on the drive is available on request.

The Den

The Den is an area separated from the main house by a sliding door. It has patio doors onto a small balcony providing its own ndependent access. Lovely garden. The 'kitchen' is limited and is part of the laundry room. It has a Meile oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, kettle, toaster and sink but not really suitable for big cook ups. Many buses to city centre. Easy access to the hills, Water of Leith, East and West Loithian and the airport if travelling by car. There is free parking.

Claddagh

Situated 2.5 miles to the west of Edinburgh City Centre (15mins by bus), this deceptively spacious 3 Bedroom house is attached to but separate from the host’s main residence, having its own private entrance and outside space to the front. Disabled access is via a private lane to the rear of the property. (Arrange with host). The ground floor accommodation has a bedroom, toilet and wet room, ideal for guests who cannot manage stairs. Travel cot and high chair available for our smaller guests.

Compact, mid-century decor self-contained studio. Our home is in a residential area of the city. NOT in the city centre. Complimentary tea, coffee and simple breakfast food provided. Bus stop beside the house with regular service; one bus, into Princes St in 25-35 mins. We have a small driveway for you to use. We are 2 mins from the by-pass and are 15 min from Airport by taxi. Waters of Leith and Pentlands are close by. The Historic Colinton Village is 10 minutes walk down the hill.
