After a 3 year hiatus we're back with an updated & refurbished guest suite! Located in the sunny Western Bay of Plenty with beautiful bush walks, cycle trails, native bird life, pristine beaches, just 15 mins from Waihi Beach & 45 mins to Tauranga. With stunning views (any time of year) & close-by access down to the water, you can be assured of a restful stay, & in 10-15 mins access shops & eateries. The suite has a separate bedroom & ensuite, lounge with basic kitchenette, private deck & BBQ.

Park-side Retreat - Athenree

This bright and spacious home is the perfect getaway for the entire family, complete with a retro caravan for extra guests. Enjoy a large sunny backyard, perfect for BBQ's and outdoor games, multiple decks and living spaces, and a park with a playground right next door, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out. Take a quick 1-minute walk to the estuary edge, a 5-minute drive to Waihi Beach, or a leisurely 5-minute stroll to the Thermal Hot Springs. Just kick back and soak up the serenity.

Pod in Athenree

The Pod in Athenree is an ideal base for 1 or 2 people. Bed (x2 singles or x1 larger bed) - please let us know. Central to Athenree - walking distance for swimming, fishing, kayaking/boating, biking, tennis, hot pools + playgrounds. Kayaking in the Estuary is tidal. 5 minutes drive to Waihi Beach / Bowentown or you can walk across the estuary at low tide. 10 minutes drive to Waihi & Katikati. The studio-styled Pod isn’t a huge space - but it is handy as a base for your holiday or activity.

Wainui River Glamping

A cute private glamping set-up nestled in the trees alongside the Wainui River. Here, you'll have a well-equipped outdoor kitchen with power, a cosy cabin with a comfy queen-sized bed, a hot outdoor shower and bath. Explore the beautiful Wainui river on our two-person kayak or curl up with a book and do absolutely nothing at all. There are also plenty of hikes in the area. Pets (inc horses) are welcome. On the Te Awa river ride and within easy reach of Sanctuary (Maungatautari) mountain walks our home is ideally located for water enthusiasts, cyclists, walkers, runners and trampers. Situated elevated above zone 5 on Lake Karapiro and overlooking the 500m-1000m mark for rowing this is an ideal spot to view all the lake events on offer - be it Rowing, Waka Ama, Hydroplanes, Cycling with the Avantidrome just 15 minutes drive away!

Nestled in our native bush gully and overlooking the spring-fed ponds, this is the perfect space to relax. Large queen bedroom, kitchenette, dining area and lounge with double sofa bed, plus portable single folding bed. Sheltered balcony with barbeque overlooking the garden and lakes. Lots of parking and secure storage available.

Only a 2-minute walk from the Athenree hot pools and a 5-minute drive from Waihi Beach. Waihi and Katikati are approximately 15 minutes drive away.
