The Noddle is in a fantastic location, a short distance from the ferry and quite central on the island of Hoy & South Walls. There was only 2 of us and dogs, so it would be excellent for families & friends, but the space was great. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, the lunch was bright, but the light in the conservatory was so good, comfortable day bed for relaxing, reading, drawing and soaking up the view. We took wood with us for the fire, but didn't use it as the house was lovely and warm. The garden was lovely, easy access to the burn and beach. walking distance to 'Emily's' tearoom, where we had an excellent dinner, great for special occasions (booking recommended), also walked to Scapa Flow visitor centre for lunch (quite basic). There's a lovely cafe at top end of Hoy, Beneath'ill, recommended if you are going to Rackwick - amazing beach. Been to Hoy a few times, loved our week at The Noddle. Tony was quick to respond to any queries. We'll be back.

Booked Katrina's place for a group of colleagues who were working in the area, great stay and great communication. Will book again in future.

A beautifully maintained property and spotlessly clean. The framed poems by John Horne, a local poet and former resident of the cottage, were a lovely touch. We made use of the neat little garden, and were able to sit with a cup of coffee in the evening sunshine. Lorna thought of everything we might need and was generous in the 'treats' she left for us to enjoy. We felt right at home.

This was a lovely house and a good base for exploring Caithness. The house was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were hot. The house was lovely and warm to combat the chilly weather outside! Our hosts were friendly and check in / check out was simple. There was plenty of room for the 10 people in our party. Our children particularly enjoyed the sand dunes at Dunnet Bay and rock pooling at Ham Harbour - even in the rain. There was a nice walk from nearby Lybster Harbour along the cliff tops.

We absolutely loved our stay, the cottage was everything we wanted and looked for. Evelyn is a fantastic host and provides an amazing cottage to stay in. Immaculate, peaceful and the best location, only a few minutes from Stromness. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our two day stay at Martin’s house. We had everything we needed and felt very welcome. Martin is a warm and friendly person who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The house provides in everything that is needed for your holiday. Ample parking nearby and simply put a beautiful house. We went to Orkney by ferry and explored the surrounding area, which is amazing. Plenty of large supermarkets nearby by car. We would love to be able to come back one time.

The bungalow hides its beauty within.. what a brilliant spacious arrangement.. perfect base for the Orkneys..

We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeths place - it is a brilliant space with wonderful views in a great location. Elizabeth could not have been more helpful and was a welcoming host. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful location for this fantastic flat with views over the harbour and over to Hoy. The additional outdoor space to relax is very welcome and compliments the comfort of the interior. Yuka was a tremendously helpful host but completely unobtrusive meaning the stay felt very private. Outside lights and railings on external stairs provided safety at night. Would highly recommend.

The flat was sparklingly clean ideal location and all that we wanted

Ons verblijf van twee nachten bij de Strathy Lighthouse was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Het uitzicht op zee is werkelijk adembenemend en met een beetje geluk spot je dolfijnen en papegaaiduikers! De locatie is uitzonderlijk rustig, waardoor je echt volledig tot rust komt. Het voelt alsof je je aan het einde van de wereld bevindt, ver weg van de drukte van het dagelijks leven. Een unieke plek waar we met veel plezier op terugkijken en die we van harte aanraden aan iedereen die op zoek is naar stilte, natuur en een vleugje avontuur.

This was a great find, Louise made everything straight forward and responded to any question quickly. The house was ideal beautiful clean with all the equipment anyone could need. Louise even took our washing in when we got stranded overnight on Hoy. The location is good as you can get to any part of of Island easily. If I ever come back to Orkney I know where I will want to stay and it's at Louise place.

Always stay at Bankside when in Wick for work, I will be back

Flat had lovely views over the harbour and in the town centre. Flat was warm inviting and very clean. Host was responsive for any queries- really enjoyed the stay and if up again will definitely book again

The flat is warm and comfortable, and perfectly placed for seeing Kirkwall. Shopping for essentials was easy with the Coop so close-by. Good restaurants are also easy to reach on foot. Despite being on the ground floor, it was very quiet at night. We’d recommend staying wholeheartedly!

Fantastic! I’ve stayed in a lot of different types of accommodation over the years but this was the best. Immaculate in every way and very thoughtfully presented. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or go back to this property. Ten minute walk to the town centre. Friendly host next door but didn’t intrude. You won’t be disappointed!

We have stayed in a lot of properties in Thurso and this is by far the best one we have stayed in, we would highly recommend. Plenty of space and everything you could need during your stay. Exceptionally clean and easy access. We have already booked for our next stay.

We had a very comfortable stay, plenty of room for 4 adults. Everything we needed was there. It was nice and warm. Very happy with the accommodation.

Perfect stay, beautiful location and well equipped, spotless

We had a great stay at Leona's apartment. It was warm, spacious and well equipped. Leona contacted to ensure she would be there to welcome us when we arrived and responded quickly to queries. The location is great for accessing beaches, cliff walks, neolithic sites, Stromness and Kirkwall. Loch view was tops.

We loved staying in Jenny's place. She was a fantastic host, really responsive and going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and help us with everything we might need. The place itself was beautifully decorated, extremely well-equipped and in an excellent location to walk into Kirkwall and explore the rest of Orkney. Would 100% recommend this Air BnB - one of the best stays ever :)

We stayed at the Crow’s Nest for 6 nights and had a fabulous stay. John was prompt to respond to questions prior to our arrival and provided great recommendations for restaurants which were walkable to within only a few minutes. Check in was easy and our studio apartment was the perfect size for the two of us - we instantly February at home. John left a lovely welcome gift of wine, oat cakes, and Orkney fudge -all which we enjoyed during our stay. Kirkwall was the perfect location for us to explore the sites on the Mainland and easy to get to the ferry terminals to reach Westray and Hoy. While there is no parking at the apartment as it’s in the center on town, this was not a problem as there is free long stay parking at the ferry terminal within a 5 minute walk and there is also the option for free parking behind the building between 5 PM and 9 AM. We will plan to stay with John again when we return to Orkney!

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, well kitted, spacious. Great location!
