The Cartlodge is a cosy 1st floor studio apartment in the beautiful village of Horringer, Bury St Edmunds, bordering the stunning Ickworth House Estate & a 5 minute drive into the historic market town. Private off-street parking & equipped with all the essentials make this an ideal spot for 1 or 2 people visiting the town or exploring the National Trust estate for a short getaway or work trip. Cosy cabin for 2 with electric charging point

Our Cabin offers a cosy independent stay with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bedroom with super-king bed, luxury en-suite shower and utility with additional toilet. This eco friendly home has air sourced underfloor heating throughout and contains many upcycled items from the exterior reclaimed scaffolding boards to the many repurposed gems to be found inside. Stepping outside there is a private south facing patio and garden with its own parking space, all just a leisurely walk from town.

No hidden fees! Discounts for 7 nights or more! The Hare’s retreat is one of two accommodations on site, the other ‘The Kingfisher Studio’. (not in view of each other) A beautiful little annex with its own access and garden. Located 150m off the A134, opposite Nowton park, and only 1.5 miles from the town centre. With approx 200m of river frontage and a good sized field and garden . The Annex has a large bedroom with kingsize bed, kitchen, wet room/WC and a small but comfortable living room.

The house was tastefully decorated in July 2023 and comprises of a full kitchen, king bedroom with shower ensuite and a double bedroom with shower/bathroom to suit up to four guests. Located a 30 min stroll to the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and the many restaurants/cafes of Bury St Edmunds. The house is also only a 30 min walk to the West Suffolk Hospital, so is an ideal base whether it be to explore Bury or to visit patients or work at the hospital.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Nestled in the charming village of Horringer, Lodge Gate cottage is a stones throw away from the National Park Ickworth and a 4 minute drive from Bury St Edmund’s. The property is designed to give you a home from home experience. The master bedroom has a super king size bed with 5000 pocket spring natural organic Artisan Mattress. The second bedroom has a king size bed also with a 5000 pocket spring natural Artisan mattress.

The name of the property very simply describes the view out the back of the annex which we hope you love as much as we do. You can watch rabbits, deer and birds from the large gable window and star gazing is a must. Whether you're in the area for an event or want to spend a relaxing weekend away to unwind, Field View Annex is the perfect getaway.

The cartlodge is in the grounds of our home and we are available if you need advice on surrounding area and general queries. But your will have the privacy of your own space The property is set behind electric gates and has lovely views of the Suffolk countryside. It’s 5 mins drive in to Bury st Edmunds our beautiful market town.
