Lovely home with the best view from the hot tub. The best part was the silence. Thank you for a great getaway

This place was just what we needed. We rented this place following a death in the family locally and we needed somewhere for family to gather and be together. This house and the property was everything we could ask for. Quiet. Peaceful. Spacious enough to allow for individual space when needed. The property is beautiful. The house has character and comfort. The hosts have stocked EVERYTHING a person could need. And it has an amazing vibe and history. It felt to all of us that there has been much love and laughter in this historic home which is just what we needed. Thank you for hosting us.

Jody is the perfect host! He was quick to respond if we had a question, and was so kind and great to work with! The house itself is beautiful… Very clean and spacious! This place was fantastic. Such a beautiful, comfortable home with everything we needed plus more! I loved all the thoughtful details for us and the decor. All the rooms were comfortable and my family and I had such a wonderful time. It is so close to campus and the softball field (where we were most of the weekend!). Definitely will be back here again.

We were so fortunate and grateful to stumble upon this beautiful and well maintained gem of a home in Mt. Vernon. This was the perfect halfway point for our family of 6 as we headed back to NY. We immediately felt right at home and were blown away by the generous hospitality that we were provided with from the coffee station, to the treats and beverages, and thoughtful note and information provided. The only regret we had was not being able to spend more time here to enjoy the comforts of this special home and to explore all that the charming town had to offer.

Great stay love the place … I would definitely stay again

Our weekend getaway at the lakehouse with friends was nothing short of perfect. The house itself was cozy, well maintained, and had everything we needed the hot tub and the lake access were extremely enjoyable highlights of our time there. Additionally, Alan is simply the best host possible, he was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. It is our second time staying at Alan’s place and we can’t wait to stay there again!

A great cabin! Clean, stocked with bottled water and cooking items and the place is flooded with sunlight when the sun is out! Fun twinkle lights make the place feel cozy and fun.
