The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Cozy Camper Stay

Experience camper life in a quiet neighborhood 20 minutes from the heart of Gainesville! Staying in a camper is a unique adventure! Before reserving, please note: ***NO SMOKING*** Shower and bunk beds CANNOT accommodate folks taller than 5'8". No TV or Wifi. Toilet is connected to a holding tank rather than traditional plumbing. If the valve is held open longer than necessary when flushing, odors from the tank can escape into the RV. There are steps getting in and out of the camper. Take care.
