Gamekeeper’s Cabin is a self-enclosed property ideal for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Borders, New Lanark, and Dumfries & Galloway. When the sun is shining you can enjoy the private outdoor seating area. Otherwise, enjoy the fire and bask in cosiness. Our rural location on a cycle route just outside the historic market town of Biggar brings privacy, stunning views, and great walks like Coulter Fell or Tinto. We recommend bringing a car (Biggar is a 15-minute walk away), parking is provided.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Our cottage offers a fully equipped retreat to relax and unwind whilst being perfectly located for exploring a wide range of nearby activities and attractions , including Tinto Hill , Lanark , Historical New Lanark, the Clyde Valley and the wider Scottish Borders , Edinburgh and Glasgow are both within an 1 hour drive or accessible by train , Lanark and Carstairs train station are within a 20min drive .

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

It is located in the historic market town of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. The town was granted a Royal Charter in 1450 and is located on the edge of the strath of the Avon Water. It's around 18 miles from Glasgow and on the A71, which connects to Edinburgh.
