Explore Anasazi ruins & O’Keefe Country, hike/ bike/climb in El Rito, soak at Ojo Caliente/ undeveloped springs in Taos & Jemez, float the Rio Grande/Chama, swim in Abuquiu lake or enjoy miles of roads great for dirt bikes/ATVs. XC ski 2 mi away after snowstorms + more above Chama/Los Alamos/Taos. Downhill ski in Santa Fe or Taos- 1.5 hr.

Located in the world-famous Greater World Earthship Community, this modern off-grid home is one of a kind! Built by hand over 8 years by me, your host, Kirsten. This sustainable house is bright, light, and airy with clean lines and unique details. Like all Earthships this house is built from natural and repurposed materials such as used automobile tires, cardboard, old cans and bottles. All electricity for the house is from solar. All water is from the sky. More comfort, less hippie.

This cozy 2-story home sits on 10 acres in the Chama River Valley, with views of Cerro Pedernal and the mountains. Rustic, cozy, with all basic amenities. Ideal for the solo artist or couple. Hiking + hot springs nearby, including Ghost Ranch, Poshuouingue ruins & Ojo Caliente Springs! Most pets are welcome (for a pet fee). It's helpful to check in on it, however, due to our contained pups further back on the land. Open to longer stays at discounted price. Write about either to discuss!
