The property is absolutely stunning, only topped by the amazing views! The home is beautifully nestled into the rock and natural surroundings. Consequently, the views from the hot tub and the sauna are breathtaking. During our stay, we had excellent sunny weather and enjoyed daily. Hikes: either directly from the home or within a 30 minute car drive. The house itself is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you need for six people. It never felt crowded, except occasionally the two lounge chairs from which you could view the valley, as we sometimes fought over who gets to sit in them… 😊 There is a small grocery store just down the mountain within a 15 minute drive. It is well stocked but a bit expensive. For us this was a perfect vacation as we just wanted to enjoy nature and relax. Beyond that, there really isn’t much to do as there are neither museums nor cultural points of interest. During the winter time, this obviously is a prime skiing location.

Godt utstyrt, romsleg og fin hytte. Fantastisk uteområde, og kort avstand til vatnet. Hyggelege og hjelpsomme vertar. Me hadde ei fin veke på Sanden.

Wir waren eine Woche über Silvester in der Unterkunft von Marco. Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen, einem Kind, zwei Kleinkindern und einem Hund dort. Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich und vor allem ausreichend groß für uns alle. Es war sauber und alles Wichtige an Ausstattung war vor Ort. Der Ausblick war unglaublich schön (vor allem aus dem Jacuzzi) und die Natur drumherum perfekt zum spazieren gehen. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und was sehr positiv hervor zu heben ist, war die Kommunikation mit Marco. Er war stets freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Schade fanden wir lediglich, dass das Feuerholz nicht im Preis enthalten war, da wir dies so aus anderen Unterkünften kennen und dass einige Dinge draußen verteilt lagen (Spülbürste, Wischmopp, Grillrost). Da hatten wir uns ein bisschen gewundert, störte uns aber nicht weiter. Ist also meckern auf hohem Niveau. Wenn die Welt nicht so groß wäre, würden wir mit Sicherheit noch einmal wieder kommen.

Wie hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Frans" Blockhütte am See. Das Objekt ist ube durchschnittlich gut ausgestattet für norwegische Verhältnisse - es fehlt an nichts. Die Landschaft ist ist norwegentypisch spektakulär. Viele Freizeitaktivitäten (Wandern, Angeln, Schwimmen, Skifahrern, Klettern etc) sind in der Gegend um Vradal möglich - oder einfach nur die Landschaft genießen. Fantastisch. Frans ist ein entspannter und angenehmer Gastgeber der auch aus der Ferne auf die Bedürfnisse seiner Gäste eingeht. Jederzeit wieder, Vielen Dank!

The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and in a beautiful location. Susanne was very communicative and did everything possible to ensure an easy and enjoyable stay!

This was the most unique place we ever stayed. Highly recommend, we really liked the oldschool interior. :)

Fint hus som fungerte bra for oss.

Ine and Per were wonderful hosts! Very helpful and friendly. The house was wonderful with everything we needed and a beautiful outdoor space for kids! We would have loved to have our grand daughters, who live in Bø, come over to play but it was too rainy while we were there. We would definitely stay here next time we come to Norway!!

Vi storkoste oss i Flatdal og vertskapet var over all forventning! Hytta var romslig og ren, med et godt bad og enkelt kjøkken. Vi fikk nydelig vær og grillet utenfor til solnedgangen! Det manglet ikke på gjestfrihet og hjelpsomhet fra Asbjørn og Gunhild, vi takker så varmt for oppholdet!

Super cozy simple place to disconnect from the city, we only stayed for one night, but enjoyed our stay ❤️

Nice place to stay in a beautiful environment. The lake is one minute away walking, and the cabin is located under 30 minutes by car from amazing hikes. The cabin was super clean, tidy and with everything you need for a few days. Signe was super quick to answer my questions, I recommend this accomodation (although not for more than 4 people, as it is very small and there is no running water).

A stunningly beautiful and quiet place to relax for a few days. Clean and cozy cabin with a short 100m walk to a running stream for water. Great hiking nearby (the Lårdalstigen or the 6km loop that starts on Støylsdalen to the lookout are recommended). The canal boat stops in nearby Dalen or Lårdal but not in Bandaksli (the pier next to the cabin). The road along the Bandak from the cabin to Dalen is scenic and worth a drive or cycle as well.

Dejlig hytte som er familievenlig (vi var der med 2 mindre børn for at stå på ski). Kort gang til alpin området, mulighed for at køre til bjergtoppen og gå en lille runde langrend samt lille langrendsspor under 100 m fra hytten. Ellers hyggeligt og praktisk indrettet hytte med dejlig solterasse. Det var dejligt at være der og vi oplevede værter som responderede hurtigt på spørgsmål.

Å besøke Oldemorhuset er en opplevelse! Atmosfæren i det gamle huset er unikt. Vi kom sent på grunn av trafikale problemer på E134 etter flommen og dro tidlig til Lårdalsstigen dagen etter. Skulle gjerne hatt mer tid til å bare sitte ned og være og se nærmere på det fantastiske interiøret. Nydelig beliggenhet og veldig koselig med alle de fine kyra. En overnatting her passer perfekt å kombinere med Bjaaland bygderestaurant og samtidig støtte annen næringsvirksomhet i bygda! Også det ble et flott minne! Anette var veldig imøtekommende og hyggelig!

Posto meraviglioso, camping fornito di tutto quello che serve per sentirsi a casa. La sauna è “la ciliegina sulla torta”.
