Meticulously restored to its former glory while being fitted with the most modern amenities, our house is one of the finest remaining examples of the particular Taisho era architecture of the 1920's. Located 12-15 mn by foot from Kyoto station, 350m west of the UNESCO world heritage site of Toji temple and 2,500 Sqft in size, a total of 6 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms, complemented by 2 bathrooms, 2 WC, 2 Japanese gardens.

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

Tubara is in the Higashiyama in Kyoto. You can go to so many sights (Kiyomizu temple, Kenninji temple, Yasaka shrine, Fushimiinaritaisha, Gion area, Kamo river, downtown..) on foot! Tsubara was 100y old Machiya, we lovely restored all possible to original style using antique fittings & materials by traditional craftsmanship. We love Tsubara, we hope the guests too! We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.
