We truly enjoyed our time at Eric’s. The home truly felt like home. Well stocked kitchen, with a lot of flatware, cooking seasons, and all the needed pots and pans. Everything was extremely clean, just as described. We all enjoyed the hot tub which was also pristine. A minute walk to the beach was the best, making the location perfect.

We loved the house! It was a perfect spot for myself, three children and our pup. Very clean, well-appointed and spacious. The pool and ping pong tables in the basement were a perfect downtime activity. The beach is very short stroll and the restaurants that we could walk to made the location even more ideal. We hope to return soon!

We loved our stay at Sunrise Surf on the southern Shores! The location was great. The house was even better than expected/than the pictures. Everything was well stocked and we really appreciated that. The heated pool and the hot tub were amazing for our spring break vacation. I would not hesitate to book this again!

We had a wonderful stay… the OBX is now our favorite vacations spot! Sounds Groovy was Awesome with wonderful and responsive hosts.

Wonderful views and easy access to the water. Good place with young children. (We had a toddler and a baby as part of our group.) The sitting area in the master suite was a great place to play board games and chat in the evenings without disturbing the little ones sleep. Great deck with sturdy chairs of the correct height to see the ocean over the railing. Lots of restaurants nearby and grocery stores and even a Target less than 2 miles away.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a fabulous location within a short bike ride to downtown Duck and the beach is a very short walk/bike down the street. The house is spacious and clean, and my kids loved the basketball court and that there were bikes to ride. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Overall great experience, we would come back and stay again.

We had a great stay and would definitely go back! We were close to fun adventures at the Nags Head Nature Conservancy Forest, the Wright brothers Museum, Jockeys Ridge Sand Dune and not far to drive to Bodie Island Lighthouse. The hosts were very responsive, and we loved being steps from the beautiful and wide beach. The furniture was comfortable in the family room and there was plenty of seating at the table and living areas. Rooms were plenty spacious and the charm of the house was really quaint and we all loved it. My only feedback would be that the beds were all hard and not very comfortable except for one of the queens (not in the master) but this is a personal preference thing so some might prefer that? I also wish the pans were not all Teflon but thankfully we brought our own pans bc half of us have celiac, so we were prepared anyway. The place was nicely stocked with beach towels and even beach chairs and sand toys. My kids had a lot of fun with the hula hoops!

The location of this house is perfect! Right across the road from the beach. Close to everything (restaurants, grocery stores, activities) but far enough away to not hear the traffic from the busy main road. The house was clean and well organized. Like other reviewers mentioned, the floors upstairs are creaky; put your heavy sleepers in the downstairs bedroom. I also echo another reviewer’s suggestion of comfortable chairs on the upper deck. I missed the part of the listing that detailed that only one set of towels per person (1 large towel, 1 hand towel, 1 washcloth) is provided for your entire stay (our family of 3 stayed Sun-Sat). The host/property manager was very responsive and provided two additional sets when I requested more. Guests should be prepared to utilize the washer/dryer in the home or bring their own. Perhaps an adjustment to this policy could be considered based on the length of stay? Overall, a wonderful home. I would recommend it.

We had the most amazing stay! Rebecca was extremely communicative and made sure we knew everything we needed to! The place looked exactly as pictures and was very clean. It was a short walk to the beach (about 5 minutes) and the private pool was so nice to come back to! We would absolutely stay at one of Rebecca’s houses again!

Beth Ann's home was amazing to stay in! The house has everything you could ask for and the amenities there are incredible. From the pool to the crows nest and everything in between we could not have been more happy! You are easily within walking distance to the beach and restaurants and a very short drive from everything else. She was incredibly responsive and helpful which made the stay even more enjoyable! We 100% hope to stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at sound decision. The apartment is beautiful and well kept. It was decorated in a way that made it feel like home. Great location in KDH. Not far from the action and a 20 minute or so walk to the beach. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were so helpful as we were traveling with a little one. Beautiful sunsets were an added bonus. Thank you for a great stay!

Highly recommended if you’re going to OBX. Very nice house, very clean and spacious and close to beach and everything.the host is great, Very responsive and went above and beyond for me and family to have a great relaxing stay. My kids loved the pool. Will definitely come back again. Thanks Shawn

Lisa’s place was the perfect beach getaway for our family. We loved being able to walk to the beach easily, sit out on the patio, eat meals in. She had everything we needed to make our trip seamless.

What a beautiful home just steps from the ocean. Our group of 8 high school friends had a great time and appreciated the beautiful accommodations. Bedrooms are varied and well-separated for privacy. Lots of doors to access to the rear deck, pool, hot tub, and beach. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with a great selection of cookware and tableware. We would have appreciated a few more essentials in the kitchen and bathroom.

Three adults and two children stayed here comfortably. We have typically stayed on the sound for previous visits but really loved this location! It’s a really quick walk to the beach. At least one of us woke for the sunrises on the beach. :) We loved the pool, back deck, and the outdoor shower.

The bee hive was great! Perfect location, steps to the beach! It was just as described on the site. Really comfortable space, more than enough room for our group of 4. Great backyard for grilling. Wayne and Lynn were super helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and shops. They were very communicative from start to finish. We would definitely go back!

Pablo's home was just the family getaway we needed! It was super clean, extremely comfortable and centrally located to a lot of different activities and sights that we truly enjoyed even in "off season ". Pablo was very helpful and responded quickly. We hope to visit again soon! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home where we were able to create even more happy family memories!

James was very responsive and quick to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The home is cute and quirky - looks just like the photos! The only thing that was confusing was that sheets and towels are not included in the listing. This was not immediately clear from the listing page. When we were told this a couple days before our trip, James was very accommodating, though, and helped us sort out the issue. All in all a very pleasant experience with a very nice front porch!

A beautiful cosy house that includes everything you would need for a little R&R in OBX. Fantastic location, within driving distance to restaurants. And most importantly, the beach is definitely walkable but it also very quick drive to your own parking area. Highly recommended!

Andrew's home was wonderful for our crew of 6! It's located in a quiet peaceful neighborhood 30 seconds fromTimbuc II where there is a nice variety of shops and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed for cooking & baking. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were large enough where we didn't feel cramped even after bringing our suitcases in. The water pressure is excellent in each of the showers, which was perfect in order to ensure we could rinse off the salt and sand as needed. The hot tub was a nice bonus along with all the games in the basement. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Sue’s house was perfect for our family of 10! A 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. A fabulous pool for all of us to enjoy. A lovely decorated home with plenty of bedrooms and new bathrooms. Loved the outdoor showers. Well equipped kitchen for all our meals. And a porch to watch magnificent sunsets at night! Sue was quick to answer all my questions.

Great stay! Very clean cottage, very responsive host. Technically walkable to beach but short drive and park at public beach access was much easier with kids. Downstairs bar/games area was super fun! House gets a lot of shade so outdoor sitting/gaming stayed cool (almost too cool for our preseason April stay, but would probably be a nice reprieve on a hot day!) would recommend for a small family or couple. Ceiling fans in every room a nice plus. Ample paper products as well which we appreciated!

The house is in a wonderful location. Just a couple minute walk to the ocean and a short drive into town or the bay side to watch sunsets. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are top notch with very nice showers and good water pressure. The house is set up nicely for two couples if needed as 2 of the King bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. My only minor suggestion would be is to have a couple lamps on the nightstands in the bedrooms. And maybe a drying rack for clothes not wanting to be dried in the dryer. I would highly recommend this house.
