We stayed at Robin’s place with our 3 kids before we went to the Texas Wildlife Park. We had a wonderful stay! The house is so peaceful and we spent all night enjoying the back patio overlooking the water. Robin made everything so easy with clear instructions and details. We will definitely be back!

Joe and his wife were the definition of southern hospitality. Very respectful and helpful always answered the phone when I texted or called and was sure to ask if there was anything we needed help with. Loved our stay beautiful home.

WOW! This place is everything. It is exactly how it was listed with plenty of room. Modern appliances. Great location. Our kids and grandkids LOVED the access to the river...but I don't think the listing shows the slide! There is a slide too! Perfect. Just perfect.

Renee’s place is absolutely the best place we have stayed in Kerrville. We go down several times a year from Minnesota and we have found the place we will stay every time in the future.

We came to this place for an evening to relax and have a good time. It was a wonderful place, and is exactly as it showed in the pictures. The home and the bathrooms were clean, and felt welcoming. The backyard was very nice, and accessible to a floating dock. We enjoyed the kayaking, and early morning by cycle ride in the park. Additionally, the host was very clear in communicating instructions, and was very flexible and responsive. Overall, we would recommend, and may be we come back some other time!

Very nice place - definitely want to stay again when we have more time to enjoy everything this place has to offer - pond was great - all the kids caught fish - place was very well stocked up with items needed - game room was very nice - hosts were very responsive and friendly - AC worked great - beds were very comfortable - River in back was fun, the kids floated to the dam - love the huge old cypress trees - great place for a family get together - very quiet, peaceful and relaxing

Beautiful property in a gorgeous, quiet area. The fire pit made our evening so relaxing. The hosts communicated well and were pleasant. Would definitely recommend .

A great getaway near the river! We appreciated all the extras that were included i.e. kayaks, floats, life vests, towels that we needed to enjoy the water. Everything was nicely labeled to help find items within the home. Plenty of items to cook meals. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and peaceful. Wished we had more time to enjoy the wonderful property. We took the opportunity to lounge outside in the afternoon visiting with the ducks and watching the river. Melanie even accommodated us early which we appreciated. We were grateful for the Zazenberg Tavern restaurant recommendation, it was simply amazing and we could have walked there. Thank you Melanie.

Such a great property, and our cabin was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Living and kitchen area is spacious and open, very nice bathroom (awesome water pressure on the showerhead), and the bed was comfortable. Despite the outside temps having reached freezing during our stay, the bedroom kept nice and warm, the main area didn’t keep as warm though. The hot tub, perfect…and the view of the stars, amazing. We hadn’t seen this many stars at other parts of Texas that we have stayed at, and this was such a treat. We didn’t cook at the cabin, but the kitchen is spacious and comfortable for cooking for anyone who plans to. Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better property for the type of relaxing and outdoorsy getaway than Basecamp. We plan on coming back and checking out the other cabins and/or tents! Thank you all for sharing these gems! The property has an awesome lake for kayaking, a walking trail and other walking areas.

Was a Beautiful Place and Peaceful

The cabin was perfect for our needs with space to spread out our things and comfortable for our short stay. The river trail is literally just a minute walk away and it's beautiful to get out for some fresh air. Deer all over the area which was fun to see on our walks. Coffee place, dive bar/restaurant, gas station/convenience store all within easy walking distance. Short drive to Fredericksburg for a nice day trip. Finding the place is easy enough with the cabins all labelled with a number on the door. Keyless entry was great! If you need internet access for work though you may consider bringing a hotspot. WiFi was available but was not super fast and the signal cut pretty often. The TV in the cabin is a bit older and slow but we didn't really use it much at all. The mini fridge in the room works great unlike a lot of places I've stayed. We didn't grill (this time...) but there are several BBQ grills around the property that seem to be open for use. Looking forward to our next stay!
