In this Experience we will explore the VALLEYS located around the TEQUILA VOLCANO, where agaves have been planted, obsidian stones polished and cultures flourished for more than 3,000 years.
In the morning we will first go to the GUACHIMONTONES archaeological site, a 45 minutes drive from Guadalajara City.
GUACHIMONTONES is located at the southern hills of the TEQUILA VOLCANO.
The site was built 2,000 years ago by a civilization that dug the deepest graves in America, improved hydroponic agriculture, and built BALL GAME teams and leagues.
In GUACHIMONTONES we will spend 1-2 hours in total. The idea is to getthere early, to avoid the heat and crowds, take good photos, and enjoy nature.
Later we will go to the north side of the TEQUILA VOLCANO, another drive 45 minutes aprox.
Lunch will take place in TEQUILA TOWN, in one of our recommended options (not included). And then there will be time to shop and walk around the square and the main buildings.
Afterwards we will explore more inside the VALLEYS to visit Distilleries, get familiar with the tequila process and taste the best spirits!
