The Groovey Getaway, Historic Downtown Calumet

Stay in style at The Groovey Getaway in Historic Downtown Calumet in the heart of the Keweenaw and only a short distance from Michigan Tech. Outfitted for guests only, it is one of two suites. Located above Supernova Yoga, Gallery & Gifts in the heart of the downtown district, the two bedroom suite with a full kitchen can accommodate six guests. The freshly renovated, eclectic, mid-century modern Suite blends style and function as well as comfort and cleanliness for your fun and enjoyment.

Guest Getaway Loft

Take a refreshing respite in the quiet or experience the bustle of historic downtown Calumet from our 500 sqft guest apartment. This studio apartment is lofted above the detached garage with a private entrance. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants, coffeehouses, bakeries, and local ski and snowmobile trails our guest home is a perfect place to explore all the Keweenaw peninsula has to offer. Guests have 24/7 access to the host, when necessary, as I live in the detached main house.

Kerban's Overlook

Nice, clean apartment just 5 minutes from Michigan Tech and a view of Portage Lake (lake access too!). One stall of garage parking available so you can go right from car to apartment without dealing with the snow. The driveway is plowed. Wifi, heat, keurig coffee selection included. Washer and dryer are in the spacious bathroom with a shower. Full kitchen and electric fireplace. Stairlift from garage. Queen sized bed with additional pullout couch (about full sz) and toddler bed.

Our townhouse is clean, charming, and conveniently located within walking distance to the grocery store. A short drive will take you to downtown Hancock & Houghton. Hancock Old Mining House (Duplex)

Upstairs half of duplex in Hancock. This mining era house was converted to a duplex somewhere along the way. The living space is completely private but there is a shared entrance with the lower unit on the front porch. Our co-host Shelby lives in the lower unit. This Airbnb listing not a luxury rental It's an old but clean, functional apartment that is ideal for one to two quiet guests. We purchased house in 2021 and lived in the lower unit until March of 2024.

Completely renovated top to bottom with every detail in mind. You will be at the center of everything. Quiet setting in Downtown Houghton within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, recreation, waterfront trail and much more! Within minutes of Mont Ripley, Michigan Tech University and within 1 hour of Mount Bohemia and Copper Harbor. The view of the Portage Canal and Lift Bridge says it all about this location. LOCATION, history, world class trail access, & a unique, colorful, inviting, and fun home make this a must stay. Mantykoti, (Pine house- in Finnish), is one of the ONLY homes in central Houghton! This early 1900 historic beauty was restored and created with travelers in mind to enjoy a pristine rental while experiencing the Keweenaw to the fullest w/ fam/friends. We have worked hard to keep the historic beauty while renovating with modern/rustic touches.

This studio space is all fresh and new, located in west Hancock. Parking is easily accessible with a ground floor entryway. Downtown Hancock and Houghton are just minutes away. Located near the Hancock beach. If you aren't a camper but enjoy the day activities come and stay with all the luxuries of home. Studio size kitchen and a king size bed. We just added a heater/ air conditioner that is adjustable by the guest. The feedback has been great!

"Copper Trails" Lovely Private Rental Unit

Easy access one bedroom unit in Dollar Bay. Right on the snowmobile trail, and convenient for all of the Copper Country’s activities: snowmobiling, skiing, biking, touring historical sites, Michigan Tech, etc. Entire upstairs of a detached garage. Private entrance. Well insulated for sound and comfort. Only 3 1/2 miles to Houghton/Hancock, and close to the airport. Trailer parking available. Crib and high chair available upon request.

Across the parking lot is the Houghton waterfront walk/bike path. Take a moment and enjoy the views of the canal and the Portage Lift bridge. Parking available for 1 vehicle only. 1 bedroom with pull out bed/couch in living room.

The Retro Roost: Walk to MTU and Downtown Houghton

- Walking distance to MTU campus, Jim's grocery store, downtown Houghton, and 20 miles of ski/bike/hike trails - Retro, cozy and private one-bed/bath unit with a kitchenette and attached garage Park in the garage and walk directly into the unit! Hosts Adam and Jana live upstairs with their family and dogs. There is a cot, and a fold out couch in addition to a queen size bed, for extra sleepers, if needed.
