Griffin - The Lake Superior Riverboat

Channel your inner Mark Twain. Read, rock, and relax on the water, at the foot of a retired Northern Pacific Ore dock. The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Friends become family here. Come and become a part of the Griffin’s story!

This woodland cabin has all the modern conveniences of home (air conditioning, fast wifi, whirlpool tub!) while offering northwoods peace and quiet. Surrounded by public forest and near the Sturgeon Lake chain, hours of outdoor activities await you. If you'd rather spend your time indoors, this comfy cabin has everything you need for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a weekend with friends. We welcome pets (and their owners)-- please review our pet policy before booking (see below!)

Quiet Cottage in the Woods on the Edge of Town

This lovely cottage has woods, hiking trails, and perenial gardens right outside the door. There are ski trails a mile away and the Redhead Mountain Bike park 8 miles away. The 2 Bdrm, 2 Bath home is fully furnished and has been completely renovated. The kitchen has everything needed to dine at home. The deck provides a peaceful view of the woods; and the 3 season porch and loft den offer lovely places to relax and read. In the winter the wood stove provides a toasty ambiance.

The Wandering Moose -Cabin Getaway, with Sauna!

This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.

Relaxing, Lake View Cabin

Homey cabin perfect for couples and small families who love the outdoors. Sitting less than 50 feet from Farm Lake, the cabin connects to over a million acres of pristine boundary waters lakes, rivers, and streams. Easy access to the beach gives our guests unlimited opportunities to fish and indulge in water sports. Rates include all applicable state and local taxes, lodging fees, etc. Rates do NOT include rentals, pet fees, docking fees, or other ancillary charges.

Off Grid cabin, Cozy, warm up by the fire.

A unique, octagon, cedar log cabin, situated on 40 secluded wooded acres. A short hike over the Sucker River on a storybook foot bridge to a generous deck which surrounds the cabin. You will need to be physically fit to stay here. You must climb a steep ladder to the loft and do a 2ft step to get off the deck to the marshy land below for making a fire. Also bring a sense of adventure! Wildlife is very near. We do not allow animals or smoking of any kind, sorry.

Multiple public access to local lakes. Large bonfire pit (firewood provided). Ample onsite parking. Snowmobilers Welcome! Plenty of space for trailers. 2 miles off state trail system. Dogs are welcome with a $100 pet fee.

Tucked away on 1.5 acres in the middle of Duluth, this one-bedroom cottage has breath-taking panoramic views of Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift bridge and the St. Louis River. With the large property and surrounding trees, the home feels secluded but has wonderful access to hiking and biking trails, parks, beaches and all that downtown Duluth and Canal Park have to offer. Yurt on the River

Our yurt sits on the edge of a wild woods overlooking a clearing that is an active forest restoration project currently in process on the banks of the Cloquet River. Take a quiet stroll or snowshoe through the woods, fish, swim, view wildlife, or take some valuable time for stillness and contemplation. Hang a hammock in the trees, relax, listen to the birds and watch the river go by.

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place including but not limited to: Walking distance to Bob Dylan's childhood home ,the Hibbing Memorial Building, local shops and cafes.
