Far Out Cottage is nestled in the woods in the NW Skyline area. It’s far out like groovy and also away from the city but yet still conveniently located. This unique experience is a step back into decades past but with the convenience of fast internet, roku and a modern flatscreen TV. The highlight of all this new technology is a throw back to the 70’s with an Atari equipped with all the classics. Your stay also includes a 50’s style fully equipped kitchen, 40’s style bathroom and laundry room.

A magical stroll through the woods leads to the suspension bridge. You won't believe you're only minutes from town. Wear appropriate shoes as it is a short 2-minute hike to the tree house. At times, it can get a little slick.

Our cozy-comfy 4 season yurt is nestled under majestic trees on a beautifully landscaped 1/3 acre. Located in a quiet, safe SW Portland neighborhood with a park, hike/bike trail a block away. We are 6 miles from downtown, with beaches, gorge and Mt. Hood accessible for day outings. There is a full kitchen, a natural gas fireplace and complete electrical and plumbing service. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.
