We had a magical couple of days at the hidden cottage. We came up to the north hoping to do some skiing with the kids. We had a beautiful drive up from Reykjavík and drove into a valley creeping into spring. We woke the next morning to a thick blanket of snow! It meant it was tricky to leave the cottage with our vehicle but the kids enjoyed a day in the snow and a bit of a hike up the valley. The cottage was clean, comfy and warm with beautiful views and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun. When we had to leave early the next day and were worried about the roads, Lea was extremely helpful. After a bit of snow shovelling we got on our way. The 4x4 we hired managed the main road into town no problem. We enjoyed looking around Siglufjordur on the way in and went via Akuyreyri on the way home where the kids had a fun swim and we managed to get on the slopes in the afternoon. We rented ski equipment on site. Wish we had had a couple more days to explore the towns a bit more!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the sea right from the dining table. We saw a few seals and lots of varieties of birds. Kolbrún was very accommodating, letting us come 2 hours before check in time. It was pouring rain where we were traveling from so not conducive to exploring in that kind of weather. We were very happy to get in where it was homey, dry and relaxing.

Der gesamte Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Wir fühlten uns sehr geborgen. Das Häuschen lädt zum entspannen ein , man kann die Seele dort baumeln lassen. Die Hottube war ein Highlight, dass wir bei den kalten Temperaturen sehr genossen haben . In dem Häuschen mangelt es an nichts und würden sehr gerne wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeberin für das Teilen dieses wunderbaren Ortes.

Lovely stay with 4 adults, 2 tweens, and a 3-year old. Easiest Hot tub access was such a treat! Place is stunning and we even caught a small display of the Northern lights in spite of it being late April. Stefania was very accommodating and even left us a crib that was super helpful. Would definitely be back and 100% recommend

Benedikt’s place was absolutely stunning, warm and cosy whilst taking advantage of any sunlight with a large amount of glass windows. A perfect getaway.

Very nice and tidy accomodation, excellent to make daytrips to Myvatn or Husavik. Bathroom is a bit small. The family helped us with the hot pot that was quite nice.

Amazing cabin, warm and cozy with everything you need. The hot tub was great after a long day sightseeing, the kitchen has everything you need and the location is beautiful, nice and quiet. Would stay here again.
