Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

The Timberjack

Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. Relax with family and friends at a Northwoods retreat. The cabin is a newer build at the end of a quiet road near the start line for the Prince Haakon cross country ski race. It can accommodate large groups with as many as 12 in the cabin on beds and pull out furniture (plus a bunkhouse). Connect to CAMBA mountain bike and American Birkebeiner Nordic ski trails from the front door, through private trails and the Mosquito Brook trailhead. The cabin is located on the Namekagon River with direct access to Hayward Lake and the public boat launch just a few hundred feet away. You really get the best of both worlds here as the cabin is tucked away in a private, wooded area but is also walking distance to downtown Hayward and other attractions!!

Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.
