The Bothy cottage in the Cotswolds

The Bothy is a conversion of a 17th Century Cotswold stone stable and a 20th Century kennel building. On the ground floor is the living room with a beautiful wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom and a modern shower room. Whilst upstairs, which is accessed from a narrow oak staircase, you can find the twin bedroom. The living room has been fitted to retain all its original features and is furnished in period style. I have included many Georgian and Victorian pieces and have also included a large settee and two arm chairs, dining table and chairs for 4, corner cupboard and a dash of the 21st Century with a Sky television. The Bothy is beautifully situated in the Postlip Coombe on the leeward side of the Cotswolds highest hill and yet only minutes from Winchcombe, a classic Cotswold "wool" town, renowned for its excellent shops, restaurants and architecture.

Beautiful Cotswold Cottage with stunning views

I have recently renovated my beautiful Cotswold cottage, taking inspiration from rustic French farmhouses and Moroccan riads, and filling it with eclectic old pieces of furniture and art I have picked up on my travels. I grew up in the village and now live half the time there and half the time in London, so I can give lots of tips for places to visit, eat and explore. The cottage can sleep up to 6 people, and is managed by my friend Kate from Stay Country who will liaise with you if you book.

Cotswold cottage charm

Charming one bedroom self contained cottage in beautiful rural setting. Located directly on Gloucestershire Way so perfect for walking/exploring the Cotswolds. Closest village Is Andoversford (Village store, post office, pub). Cheltenham is 6 miles by car. Options on local pubs within walking distance (1hr approx). Neighbours are Curly and Sean the sheep who can be seen from the windows. Accommodation is self catering with a small kitchen including fridge, hob and combination microwave/grill.

This bright home is fully equipped with lovely spaces to relax, two large bedrooms and views of the rolling countryside. With easy access to the A40 and the A436, this Barn brings the whole of the Cotswolds in easy reach, including Cheltenham, Cirencester, Bourton on the water and the Slaughters.

Often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to the pretty stone bridges arching over the river Windrush. Lavender Lodge is located in a peaceful lane, a 2 minute walk from the centre. With parking at the property, 2 double bedrooms, both with stunning en-suite bathrooms, Lavender Lodge is a versatile holiday home suited to families, friends or an indulgent couples retreat.

We are in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and are a popular destination for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the many footpaths and bridleways. The cottage is a 2.5 mile drive from Bourton-on-the-Water and a short walk across the fields to the cafe in Notgrove.
