The Old Bicycle Shop - Chilham

Once the old Raleigh Bicycle shop in the historical village of Chilham, the accommodation has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and is ready to welcome guests. This property is for a maximum of 2 adults with Super King bed. Generally i will be available to answer any questions and if i am not around then can be contacted on my mobile. Chilham features a beautifully preserved medieval square. Just off the Square: - Chilham Castle with its landscaped gardens & parkland - Medieval St Mary's Church - 4000-year-old Juliberrie Barrow. - Tea rooms - Woolpack Inn - White Horse Inn Other local highlights: - Local vineyard with tours - Chilham Lake (fishing) - Kings Wood & Downs - cycle & walk Chilham train station is a 10 minute walk from the property with links to Ashford International (10 mins) and the high speed line to St Pancras in London from Ashford (35 minutes). Canterbury is 10 minutes in the other direction, onward to Margate (about 25 minutes). If you have a day out in London the last trains leave London around 0015. The main bus stop in Chilham is a 4 minute walk from the property with buses to Ashford and Canterbury . If you go out in Canterbury for the evening, the last train back is around 2240 and if you are out later, taxis are available back to Chilham at a cost of around £15-£20.

Private secluded treehouse retreat

20ft up nesting between three sturdy oak trees this treehouse made of recycled timbers and is surrounded by trees and has glimpses of the northdowns AONB Cosy and private set on the edge of a barley field the only sound is wind through the trees and birdsong. Heater and double glazing makes this ideal in winter or summer, and a chemical loo in the cabin at ground level adds a creature comfort. There is an induction hob, cool box electric kettle and Bluetooth speaker and a variety of games .

The Honey Barn

Although the honey barn is set in the countryside, you are never far away from local stores and the local pub is a 10-15 minute walk.

The South Stable is a unique, recently redecorated stable with a little bit of Morden rustic country living thrown in. A beautiful renovation with wool carpets, handmade kitchen and top-end appliances, its scrumptious dark green bathroom with walk-in shower, roll-top bath and plaster walls. We've furnished the with many modern touches, large original art, pottery, uncovered original beams, oak storage, and a complete underfloor heating system. We look forward to welcoming you. It is separate from the main family home which offers a cosy/secluded space with an open-plan kitchen and living area. It is a relaxing place to spend many an hour watching the wildlife and enjoying the sights and sounds of Kent We have installed for your enjoyment day & night vision cameras so you can watch the birds and ducks by day and badgers and foxes at night.
