Shepherd's Hut with views of the Old Man of Storr

AIRD VILLA, Scalpay, on the Isle of Harris

Aird Villa with its south facing decking is said to be one of the nicest houses on the Isle of Scalpay. It sits overlooking Scalpay’s quiet North Harbour where the local fishing boats are moored. From the decking it's exhilarating watching the birds & boats as you are more or less right above the water's edge. The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is comfortable, light, spacious & warm. It has a modern clean feeling coupled with the charm of a traditional Scalpay island home.

A charmingly converted Tweed Merchant's in the heart of Tarbert, combining comfort with a convenient location. Contemporary landscape paintings and furnishings add authentic style to this airy, light filled property. The cottage is a short stroll to Hotels and a range of stores and souvenir shops and just opposite the Isle of Harris Distillery. The ferry is within walking distance, magnificent beaches a short drive away. Superfast broadband and a lovely selection of books of local interest.

Make some memories at this unique small house on a private croft hosted by Grant & Lorna who are from Harris and live 300m next door to the cabin. Our cabin has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, and a large open plan living space with kitchen. We are 10 minutes from Tarbert and 30 mins from the west side beaches. A wood burning stove will keep you warm in the evenings. A large wrap around balcony is lovely for sitting outside and watching the seals and otters in the bay.

The house is a short walk from Lochbay Michelin star Restaurant and Stein Inn, and along the road from Skye Skyns and their yurt with coffee and home made cakes. It’s centrally situated for all of Skye’s iconic sights such as Storr, Quiraing, Fairy Pools and Fairy Glen.

The Wee Wooden Yurt at Caolas Gallery is a green roofed, original wooden round house with picture windows giving an uninterrupted view of the sea across to the Isle of Scalpay and South East Harris. The property enjoys a southerly aspect with masses of natural light, is well insulated, warm and cosy

An ideal location for guests to explore the wilderness and experience the local heritage and culture. A very short walk to Uig Sands Restaurant for evening meals (closed over winter so check opening times ahead). Empty white sandy beaches for surfing, swimming, sunbathing or beach-combing.

Rockall Self Catering

Rockall is located in Tarbert, Isle of Harris. A 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and all local amenities making it an ideal location to explore one of the main villages in Harris. It provides open plan living and separate bedroom with a double bed and storage space. All bedding and towels are provided. Outside veranda allows for extra seating and sheltered patio space.

The cottage is situated in the beautiful Bays area of Harris - full of local wildlife. It's a great base to explore Harris from - an easy, beautiful drive to the West Coast - or up to North Harris and beyond. But it's also a terrifically tranquil cottage with large garden and beautiful views if you just want to relax for a day or two instead in-between explorations.
