Camouflaged amidst a virgin pine and oak forest at 7000 feet, on the slopes of a remote, yet reachable, hamlet called Chalnichina (50 kms from Mukteshwar), is a soulful 02 Bedroom Private Retreat aptly called "The House on the Slope". The House sits upon multiple terraced fields giving way to a unique layered architecture. An all-glass skylight runs through the roof and transitions into the front wall of the house offering breath-taking views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks such as Trishul .

This is a perfect retreat for large families or groups, with ample space for relaxation and fun. The entire villa comfortably accommodates 8 guests, with the flexibility to host up to 12.

Our home was featured in the Interiors magazine ‘Inside Outside’. Get away from it all and far from the madding crowd. Enjoy views of the valley and the stunning Kumaon peaks from every room. This is a retreat for day dreamers, nature lovers, bird watchers. There is no TV in the house. The beautiful forest walks and spending time in nature is all you need! Wake up to the sound of birds and look east for the spectacular sunrise! Not suitable for infants toddlers and younger children.

Vidyuns Hide Out- The Up - Ranikhet Almora peaks

Vidyun's hill home in Dhamas, overlooks the snow clad Himalayan peaks of Trishul and Nanda Devi, with pine forest walks, bird watching and occasional sightings of leopard, pine martins, jackals in the forest behind the house. The house has 2 (two) "ensuite" bedrooms with private bathrooms. We do not give out the two bedrooms separately. Each bedroom is equipped to accommodate up to 3 guests. Even if a single guest books the entire cottage is kept free so u have EXCLUSIVE use.

Luxury Earth Home in the offbeat Himalayas

The last 7 years have been an incredible learning experience. Since we moved to the village, the priorities have changed. There was a sense of discovery in everything we did. There were chai-filled conversations with elders and young turks and stories on how homes and communities were built. It's these learnings that led us to build these earth homes. Kumaon has been a great teacher. And we hope we've done justice to her sustainable ways.
