Tranquil Tigín - your Little Holiday in Co Wicklow

Come enjoy a Little Holiday in Co. Wicklow, hide away among 70 acres of pasture, bog and native woodlands. Our Tigín - meaning 'tiny house' in Irish - was handcrafted in the west of Ireland in 2023, consciously designed and built using natural materials. Expansive windows overlook the Wicklow countryside, offering a front row seat to the passage of deer, pheasants, rabbits and other wildlife. Note - there is a 300m hike from the parking to the secluded cabin, wellies/hiking boots recommended.

Situated 6 km from Glendalough and surrounded by hiking trails it is the home of artist Patrick Walshe and his wife Rosalind. Set back from a quiet country road, 4km from the villages of Laragh and Rathdrum, 1 hr from Dublin, it is ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Ireland. Enjoy relaxing in the garden also. Our 25sq meter studio room lodge 2 has been designed for adults only, not suitable for infants. Put your feet up after a day's hiking in the mountains.Get yourself settled in front of our wood burning stove and enjoy the kitchenette with a 2 ring gas hob, wine fridge, dishwasher and microwave, all you will need to prepare a snack.The lodge has a separate wc/shower with frosted glass doors. Ideal for couples eating out. Not suitable for cooking large meals, check out lodge 1 if u like to eat in!
