Trillium Cottage at Lake Santeetlah

Trillium Cottage is situated on 2.5 heavily wooded acres overlooking the Snowbird Mountains and Lake Santeetlah. This very private two bedroom, one-story cottage sleeps 6 (two queen beds, one sleeper sofa) and has two full baths. The clean contemporary decor features artwork by regional artists and new comfortable furnishings. This is a place to relax, unwind, enjoy a good book, time on the lake, take a beautiful drive on the Cherohala Skyway, hike one of the many nearby trails, check out the artists in Stecoah, cook your favorite foods or simply take in the nature around you. *If you have a group larger than Trillium Cottage can accommodate and looking for an additional cottage close by, please check out Sundance Cottage. It's a very short walk away and can accommodate 7. **ATTENTION: The last 1.5 miles to my cottage is a forest service gravel road and one part is a bit steep. Front or All wheel drive is recommended.

The house has an open floor plan with split bedrooms. Bring your paddle boards, fishing poles and hiking boots to explore the beautiful Nantahala and Smoky mountains of WNC.

Our 5BR/3BA log cabin sleeps 12 and is made for Great Smoky Mountains getaways: families riding the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, bikers hitting Tsali, motorcyclists tackling Tail of the Dragon, and groups rafting near the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). Minutes from Bryson City, Fontana Lake, Deep Creek, Harrah's Casino, the Appalachian Trail, and the National Park. Enjoy a hot tub, game room, fire pit, fenced yard, Starlink internet, and a private neighborhood lake just a short walk away.

Central to the areas activities, the days can seem short with easy access to Fontana Lake, the Appalachian Trail, Tsali Recreation Area, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Nantahala Gorge, & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We are 5 miles from Robinsville, North Carolina and 20 minutes from the famous Tail of the Dragon of 318 curves in just 11 miles. Enjoy beautiful Lake Santeetlah for all your water needs including fishing, skiing and kayaking. Boat ramp access in the subdivision where the house is located. We are also minutes from Nantahala Outdoors Center, Cherokee Sykyway, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and 15 minutes from the Tapco Lodge.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.
