The Galloway Steading- The Beehive couples retreat

The Bee Hive at The Galloway Steading is crafted in Galloway forest timber with stunning views and fully enclosed pet friendly garden. Private outside dining, hot tub and fire pit to ensure you can fully enjoy beautiful views and gorgeous black skies at night. With a fully equipped kitchen and shower room and a king-size bed were hoping this couples retreat has it all for complete relaxation. *£13/pet per stay payable on arrival. Wifi is an add on for £10 per stay however 4g is pretty good here

Wren's nest

Wrens nest is a cozy one-room cottage with an open plan design that combines charm with functionality. The main room features a simple layout where the bed, sofa and kitchen area share the same space. The comfortable oak framed bed has neutral linens and bedside tables with reading lamps. The two seater sofa has small foldable tables for dining. The kitchen occupies one wall with simple cabinets, two burner hob, fridge, microwave and small air fryer. The shower room has wc & sink with storage.

Garple Loch Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Discover the ultimate escape at Garple Loch Hut, set on your very own private loch with no one else around. Located on a peaceful sheep farm in Dumfries & Galloway, this hidden gem offers solitude, stunning scenery and unforgettable wildlife experiences. Wake up to the sight of sheep grazing and the gentle presence of your own Highland cows, which you can feed for a unique farm experience.

Escape to simple luxe; a unique vintage haven

The romance, splendour and variety of landscapes to be found in Galloway lies at the door of The Old Servants’ Hall. For couples or individual explorers (and dog), this beautifully restored, cosy apartment is an ideal retreat for escaping the rat race. A restful and luxurious base from which to reach the coast, rolling hills, forest and mountains. You may be tempted to stay indoors, curl up in front of the wood burning stove, and explore the well stocked bookshelves. Servants not included.

The Beach House Strangford

Unique and stunning self-catering cottage situated on Kilclief Beach, metres from the waves. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Strangford - enjoy water sports (especially swimming), walking, cycling, bird watching, relaxing and much more in our cosy one-bedroom home. Certified by Tourism NI, all our rooms (except the bathroom!) have spectacular sea views. Restaurants only a short drive away with mountains, golf courses, nature reserves and much more within easy reach.

The Granary, Little Tahall Farm

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.

'The Posh Puffin' Tiny Home & Hot Tub

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Specifically designed with country elegance in mind, featuring a spiral staircase, this luxury glamping pod gives you country living like never before. Nestled in the beautiful Cairn Valley, near the tiny hamlet of Morrinton and village of Dunscore, lies 'The Posh Puffin'. 10 miles from the 'creative' village of Moniaive and 7 miles from the county town of Dumfries, 'Queen of the South' you'll find this unique, rural gem.

Seaview Cottage I. with HOT TUB & SAUNA

The cosy cottage provides perfect accommodation for up to 4 people. You can enjoy the spa pool, sauna, and paddle boards whilst experiencing breath-taking views. The cottage is located a stones throw from the beach, with stunning views looking over Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.

The Dark Sky Dome

Stay in the largest Geodesic Dome in Scotland situated in the heart of the Carrick Forest within the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park. It is an ideal getaway for those wanting to experience the wilds of South West Scotland whilst having the full comforts of home. Whether you are a couple looking for a weekend break, an author or artist looking to stay somewhere to find creativity or a family of 4 wanting to spend quality time together then the Dome is for you.

Back Lodge. Alticry Farm

Well appointed cottage with spectacular setting and very private. Panoramic views over Luce Bay. Mull of Galloway lighthouse is the view from your double bed. Please note electric cars can be charged at Wigtown or Whithorn. Fast charges 50kw and 25p/kilowatt. Cottage wiring and fuses not suitable. The low power adds 4miles per charge and puts a great strain on the wiring/fuses. Like leaving a 8 bar heater on therefore not available at the cottage.
