Our stay at Sonja's was wonderful, the apartment itself was incredibly spacious, clean and had plenty of utensils for us to use if we wanted to cook at home rather than eat out. The location was perfect, around a 10 minute walk from the main shopping street in the city, about two minutes from the sea (with some incredible views!) and around 5 minutes from three large grocery stores. Parking was incredibly easy as described, lots of free on street parking in the area. Checking in/out was incredibly easy and our host was happy for us to check in early if we had arrived early. When we come back to Reykjavik I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this property first to see if it's available!

Nice, spacious house matching perfectly matching the description and photos. Worked perfectly for four adults and four kids. Football pitch and playground by the school just a few metres from the house. And a trampoline in the garden. Easy and quick communication with David. Thanks for a great stay!

We had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb property in Vogar. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen, comfortable living areas fireplace, washer/dryer, and lovely deck overlooking the water. The location was stunning—remote yet offering breathtaking views of the sunset, black sand beach, mountains and we even saw the northern lights on three of the four nights we stayed. Ólafur the host was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural beauty, relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we look forward to returning and recommending this property to friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable Icelandic getaway that is centrally located. 15 minutes from the airport and Blue Lagoon, 35 minutes to Reykjavík, and easily accessible to the highway for road trips. Lovely house and great hosts, what more could you want? Communication was mostly with Andri who was very helpful and responded quickly. The house was fantastic for us (family of 5) and in a great location to either go into town or out to see other parts of Iceland. I would definitely recommend to others.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit traumhafter Aussicht! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Alles, was man braucht, ist da: eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein schöner Wohnbereich, geräumige Badezimmer und bequeme Betten. Besonders toll ist der Hot Pot und die Sauna mit tollem Blick auf die Berge und den Fjord. Wir haben uns völlig wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Great location that’s outside the hustle of downtown Reykjavik. Sweet neighborhood and extremely well-kept home with beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

The house on the lake was absolutely stunning! All of the furnishings and bedding were comfortable and the common areas were perfect for our group of 7 to hang out, play games, and just chat. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. The VIEWS and setting are just unbeatable. Every bedroom has a view of the beautiful lake. We very much enjoyed our time at the house.

Great house, very clean and easy to find. Host was extremely quick in replying and helpful. Would recommend as a base if exploring Rekyavik and south Iceland!

If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable stay in Reykjavik, this is the place for you. Great amenities including a large back yard, large living space with a Smart TV and playstation, and a fireplace. Kitchen with everything needed to cook for yourself and avoid the pricey Reykjavik Restaurant scene. Located on a quiet street with easy access to the highway (rental car recommended for sure).

I truly couldn’t have been happier about this stay. Wonderful hosts in a beautiful home – what more could you want? First thank you is to Benjamin for being a proactive and attentive host. Very reachable, very informative, very kind. This property is in an amazing location, close to transit and very walkable. The unit itself is gorgeous, with plenty of space and amazing views of the city. Some particular highlights: - multiple sets of keys! Not enough properties do this and it made it so easy to accommodate a large party - lovely kitchen and coffee/tea area. We were able to cooks multiple meals a day with no issues. - best master bedroom ever: one night I could even see the Northern Lights from bed Thank you again for a memorable stay! Hoping to come back someday soon!

We booked Oskar’s place as it is in our favourite neighbourhood. Walkable distance to Ísbúd Huppu (the best ice cream) and very quiet and peaceful. Oskar’s place is quite large, with all of the amenities that you might need. Check in was easy and Oskar was always available for any questions that we had. Great place!

Great location, very nice and comfortabel

Oh we absolutely loved this darling little place. Very cozy especially in winter. Felt like our own little cozy cave. Very walkable to groceries, restaurants, so close to airport and Blue Lagoon. Highly recommend for a visit to SW peninsula of Iceland.

Andri’s place was exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious and modern with very comfortable beds. Great hosts who were very responsive. A short drive to Reykjavik. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful spacious apartment with all the facilities you would need. Clear instructions for any appliances (and an Easter egg!) left by the host. Very easy check in and out. Great location with restaurants, bars and shops just a 5/10 minute walk away. We hired a car for driving out of the centre but parking was always available just outside. Gas/petrol stations really close by and the local roads were easy to navigate. Nina was a great host and was very welcoming from beginning to end. 100% recommend - this was perfect!

Dísa's accomodation was outstanding. It was everything we could have asked for and more. We wanted something remote so we had more chances of seeing the aurora and we were amazed how stunning it was at the property - better than the tour we went on! There were some lovely walks we could take from the front door - just make sure you dress for the weather! Her dog Bonzo even joined us for the hikes and he was a lovely companion showing us the way. Dísa even came and gave us some eggs freshly laid on the farm that morning! The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. There are some local activities that Dísa recommended and can get some discounts on. We opted for a lovely natural hot springs which was just the ticket to soak in the thermal rock pools with the snowy mountains in the backdrop. Thank you again for an amazing stay. A truly unforgettable visit to Iceland!

Wonderful place to stay! This house provided all of the amenities we needed for our family of six of various ages. We had a fantastic trip together to Iceland and the hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions.

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house boasts a stunning modern design with lots of natural light, and it's located in a peaceful yet convenient area. The garden and pool were highlights, providing a perfect space to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Our host, Sigridur, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

We absolutely loved every second of our stay at Eugenias beautiful home. From the gorgeous exterior to the perfect layout to the sauna/hottub/cold plunge with the babbling stream running alongside. Magical! The setting was incredibly stunning and was truly one of our favorite views in all of Western Iceland. Close enough to Reykjavik while still feeling a world away. How lucky we felt to call it home each day we returned from exploring. Traveling as a family of five with three young children (9, 7, 6) we were also grateful for the lovely amenities (legos!) that made our time at home extra enjoyable for the kids. Enjoying a coffee each morning with the incredible views of the snow capped mountains was such a treat as was a night of Northern Lights! We've traveled to many Airbnbs across the world and Eugenia tops the list as the most helpful, kind, thoughtful host we've encountered. Being able to stay in her home felt so authentically Iceland and made for the most memorable trip!

My family of seven had a great stay at Lilja's house during the National Day and summer solstice week June 16-26. Comfortable beds, attractive living area. Beautiful views of the ocean. Quiet, pretty neighborhood convenient to driving downtown and for day trips. Private yard. Everything new and clean. Friendly reception when we arrived and given a tour of the house. Good blackout shades for the midnight sun. One important note, three of the beds were advertised as "queen" but they were actually "double" for what we are used to in America. We supplemented with two foam mattresses on the floor. Also, the house is not suitable for those having trouble with stairs--my 85-year-old mother found this challenging. We enjoyed the Blue Lagoon, Perlan (The Pearl) museum, the food walking tour of Reykjavik from (Wake up Reykjavik with Thor), a Golden Circle tour that including snowmobiling on a glacier (Arctic Adventures with Palmi). We also did our own day trips in a rental van. Blue Diamond (sights around KEF airport) including views of lava cliffs, geysers, lava tunnel, and quaint fishing villages with lighthouses. Southern route included ferry ride to Westmann Islands for Volcano/Puffin tour (Eyja tours with Eddi), visit to black sand beach with amazing rock formations, and a walk behind a major waterfall. Also the west Iceland peninsula had amazing sights. I would definitely recommend this home to others. It is optimal for a couple and five single people, but doable for seven with the foam mattresses on the floor.
