This is a beautiful place. The house is comfortable, and has many huge windows to let in natural light, and views of the forest and lake. It needs a bit of maintenance, since the owners haven’t been able to get there recently due to the general COVID travel restrictions in place. However, it is still a wonderful place to stay. The setting, on the shore of a very private lake (only two other houses), is so relaxing. My children loved playing in the lake, and my husband enjoyed having tea and reading a magazine on the dock, in the mornings. If the kids had been bigger, we would have used the paddle board and kayak. There were lots of birds that I hadn’t seen before, and we awakened to loon calls every morning. The kitchen and dining room were quite convenient and allowed me to keep an eye on the kids while preparing food and cleaning up. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals. My children also really enjoyed the loft bedroom, with its books and toys, and big windows. There was lots to entertain them, indoors and out. If you do have small children, note that the spiral staircase has wide spaces in the railing, so a barrier is a good idea to keep littles off it unless they are being closely supervised. If you are working while there, also be aware that the cellular data goes back and forth between LTE and 3G, so bandwidth isn’t always great. It was fine for me on my smartphone, just slow for my husband’s videoconferences. Deborah was very responsive and helpful, and answered my messages very quickly.

You are such a blessing! We can’t thank you  enough for that amazing generosity. You have such a lovely home and you're such a wonderful host!  We had such a good time . You made us feel completely at home .

Always a wonderful stay here with the Captain and his lovely wife! So very accommodating, a lovely room as always, peaceful surroundings and a very yummy breakfast in the morning on their sunny front breakfast room. I love staying here! Notre séjour s’est très bien passé, l’hôte a vraiment été accueillante avec nous et nous a faire un room tour de la maison . La maison est vraiment très spacieuse et nous avons manquer de rien, tout était à notre disponibilité

Our stay here was just great—Hao was very welcoming. We loved the sound of someone playing piano in the parlour as we arrived—it felt like entering someone’s gracious home. Our room was impeccably clean, with thoughtful design touches and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast pancakes and eggs were top-notch. We would definitely stay here again. Vasyl is a very good host. The BnB was extremely clean and comfortable and perfect stop on our way to PEI.. We had a spectacular view of the river from our bedroom. We enjoyed our stay.
