Sunset Ranch, acre lot facing open high desert

Sunset Ranch is an acre lot at the far southeast corner of Marathon, TX that backs up to the ranch land facing south that provides unobstructed views of sunrises and sunsets from the 700 sf covered porch. Marathon is a quaint west Texas town with a public park, gardens, restaurants and shopping. It also has a level 1 night sky rating for star gazing. Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

Mountain View Guest House

A well-maintained guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. Located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but just minutes from downtown, the guesthouse is 30 feet from our house. We are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy the view, or visit with our livestock. We are pet-friendly. Relax around the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites.

The Last Resort, 79 Songbird

Fully renovated 1979 Songbird travel trailer in beautiful Fort Davis, Texas. Located in the center of town within walking distance to shops and restaurants; close to historic Fort Davis National Historic Site; 20 minutes to Marfa, Alpine, and the McDonald Observatory; 40 minutes to Balmorhea and Valentine; and an hour and a half away from Big Bend National Park. Enjoy our mild weather and night time stargazing from the Songbird's large deck.

You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. The Water Stop, Alta Marfa Winery, Bordo, Filthmart, Whitebox and Convenience West BBQ are a few places that are a very short walk away. Enjoy plenty of space for your family or friends, and don't worry too much about packing because you'll have a washer and dryer during your stay! This place has everything you need while in West Texas.

Self care is spa-like in the extra large, clean bathroom. Sleep comes easy in the cozy king size bed. If you need extra bed space, the couch makes an additional full size bed. Across from the historic Marfa Ice Plant, Ice Plant Casita is right off the center of town. Just under 500 square feet, this cozy adobe casita equipped with the necessities you need for a simple stay including, full bed, table and two chairs, seating area, desk, and large bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bike or walk to Highland Street for shopping, eating, and all the best Marfa sight-seeing!
