Expect a one of a kind stay. Be amazed and enjoy the gorgeous unobstructed views of the Glass Mountains and Iron Mountain. Relax on the patio with a glass of wine and observe the wildlife,birds, deer, fox, javelina ~ just to name a few. In a short 3 minute drive you will be in downtown Marathon where you will find shopping at Front Street Books, Evans Gallery and Pitaya Verde. Stop by the famous White Buffalo Bar for an award winning margarita. Just a 45 minute drive to the entrance of Big Bend National Park where you will find incredible hiking, river rafting, bike riding as well as an opportunity to cross over into Mexico and Boquillas.

Sunset Ranch is an acre lot at the far southeast corner of Marathon, TX that backs up to the ranch land facing south that provides unobstructed views of sunrises and sunsets from the 700 sf covered porch. Marathon is a quaint west Texas town with a public park, gardens, restaurants and shopping. It also has a level 1 night sky rating for star gazing. Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

Mountain View Guest House

A well-maintained guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. Located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but just minutes from downtown, the guesthouse is 30 feet from our house. We are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy the view, or visit with our livestock. We are pet-friendly. The Dragonfly Cottage - Downtown

Tiny Cottage - Located in the heart of downtown Alpine, Texas, this separate, diminutive cottage (1 room and bath) was a teeny office (168sf) back in the day! The bed is only a 3/4 bed ( wider than a twin, but less wide than a double)! The TINY cottage is situated downtown, behind the locally owned salon and barber shop, Americana. Enjoy the Backyard, adjacent to the Dragonfly Cottage!
