Daisy Cottage | Sheephaven Bay, Downings, Donegal

Daisy Cottage is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way just outside Downings. A quaint yet spacious traditional Irish cottage with 3 double bedrooms and additional sofa bed. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and historic outhouses, located 1.5k from Tramore beach which stretches almost 7k (behind St Patrick’s Links, Roasapenna Golf Course). Other nearby attractions include the Boardwalk Resort (1k), the famous Glen Bar & Restaurant (3k), Doe Castle (4k), Ards Friary, Marble Hill & Dunfanaghy (14k).

Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

Donegal Thatch Cottage

Paddys thatched cottage is a recently renovated property built circa 1880 set on 7 acres of farmland & still retains the original features/character including the internal exposed stone wall & large fireplace making it very cosy. This area is very popular for trail walking in the hills or the purpose built walkways. Outdoor activities are plentiful such as kayaking, sea swimming, guided rock climbing & golfing. If the weather doesn't permit you can always light the stove & put the feet up.

Ballyboe Cottage

A rare jewel. Ballyboe is a traditional Donegal Cottage built well over 100 years ago yet modernized to give the guest the best of both worlds. Set in its own 9 acres of farmland the cottage combines total seclusion and privacy with surrounding farmland (guests get sole use of whole site) yet close to many attractions and nearby towns. The accommodation is designed mainly for up to 5 people - double bed in one room and 3 singles in another but can sleep 7 at a squeeze. No pets please.

Carr's Cottage is only minutes drive from cafes, golf courses, fishing and breathtaking walks. A great location for exploring the wonderful Fanad and Rosguill Peninsulas.

Ruby's Cottage – stone cottage, hot tub & sauna

A 200-year-old stone cottage for six, kept in one family for three generations. A wood-burner, a country kitchen, and a private hot tub looking across Mulroy Bay. There's a hot-stone sauna kept just for our guests, and a home cinema the whole family ends up in. Set between Milford and Carrigart, five minutes from Downings and the Rosapenna and St Patrick's links, with blue-flag beaches within twenty minutes.

Mary Carpenter's Cottage is a beautifully restored original thatched cottage located in Clonmany Co. Donegal. Located 2.5km from Clonmany village. This house is over 150 years old and has been tastefully renovated to include its beautiful original features alongside modern conveniences. The house has recently been featured in a documentary on vernacular houses in Co. Donegal.
