Dun Brae is Gaelic for “castle on a hill”; its perch above Dornoch gives the most enjoyable view of the town. The cottage’s situation is private and central, placing guests yards from the center of town and the tee box at Royal Dornoch. Less than 1/2 mile to the beach, Dun Brae’s location is unmatched for convenience and comfort. The thick, centuries old sandstone walls create a quiet atmosphere, and the interiors provide all comforts of home for 3 nights or 3 weeks! No children under 10years

Make your break simple in my calm, 2015 built, well insulated, warm holiday home, all on one level. A 5 minute walk into Dornoch with its stylish Scottish stone buildings, Cathedral, pubs, restaurants, cafes & gorgeous independent shops. Its one mile from the stunning beach and famous Royal Dornoch golf course. The house is our personal respite holiday home away from our Scottish Highlands rewilding croft 15 miles away. Dornoch has a special seaside micro climate and is always warmer than Muie!

Cosy 1 bedroom guest house on NC500
Built in 2023 and finished to a high standard, enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located one bedroom private guest space. Located in the Royal Burgh of Tain, off the A9 & NC500 route, this well equipped space is situated in a family garden with off road parking. The self contained building boasts, a double (UK standard) bedroom, shower room and kitchen/diner/sitting area. Large patio doors lead out to the decked area in the garden. 35 miles north of Highland capital Inverness.

The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500
The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Mid Nov - Mar we have a winter mode as the water can freeze.

A cosy mid-terraced fishermans cottage, now with a wood burner, located only 1 minute walking distance to the gorgeous Shandwick beach. Ideal for a peaceful seaside holiday retreat. Shandwick is one of three small coastal communities that along with Balintore and Hilton that make up the seaboard villages. Logs: we provide a bag of logs for each stay per week.If you require extra logs, I can provide contact details of logs providers locally. Well behaved (not too large) dogs also welcome.

For writers, casual visitors, beachcombers, birdwatchers, stargazers, shore foragers, ancestry hunters, with the sea for it’s soundtrack, our very popular cabin offers modern comforts for two, in a unique location - where you can get away from the everyday.

Croft cottage, 334 Kinnauld, refurbished in 2021 is situated in the heart of the Highlands, a 5 minute drive from A9 and North Coast 500 route. 50 miles north of the Highland capital Inverness and a 15-minute drive to Dornoch. The perfect stop for those interested in walking, cycling or wildlife. This quiet and tranquil cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery and wide-open spaces. In Sutherland you can enjoy fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more.

School Hill Croft is a very special 200 year old home which offers an unbeatable character, ambience and location. Oozing character the house which has been lovingly refurbished is in a slightly elevated position which offers superb uninterrupted views of the famous Cathedral & historic town. Just a stones throw to the local shops & restaurants, you can also be on the first tee at the gold club in just a few minutes and the beach just passed that down the road from the club house.

The East Coast Village that faces West
We welcome you to our guest flat which is attached to our home in Portmahomack. We are a sand dune away from a safe beach and coastal walks where you may be lucky and see otters, seals and some of the Moray Firth dolphins.The village has a golf course with a hospitable clubhouse And a fascinating museum the TARBAT DISCOVERY CENTRE whose website is well worth a look at. The general store has a good choice of foodstuffs which you can cook in our well equipped kitchen.

The Coach House at Manse House
Make some memories at this unique and friendly place. Originally the Coach House of the 18th century listed Manse House, the property was sympathetically converted in 2004. The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain. It has great access to the main visitor attractions of the Eastern Highlands and makes a great place to relax or to use as a comfortable spot from which to explore the Highlands. Pets are welcome. License Number HI-20436 EPC F

Beautiful beaches, the famous golf course and Dornoch village are on the doorstep. Little Maus has a fully equipped kitchen, shower room and cosy lounge with log burner. Its one bedroom sleeps 2 and is ideal for couples (king size bed). With your own entrance and garden, make the most of the spectacular views. Your hosts Eric and Alison moved from Surrey after falling in love with Dornoch and can’t wait to share their favourite places with you.

A self contained guest suite with your own front door, sitting room/kitchen, within a family home. Bedroom with shower(in bedroom) and the exclusive use of separate toilet. Friendly atmosphere. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
