Seeking a staycation? Start with our sociable ‘home from home’, situated in the middle of three beautiful villages Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe & Acaster Malbis. Hayfield Cottage is close to many of York’s best features, you won’t be stuck for places to see. Only a 10-minute drive from the centre, you’ll find endless spots to drink, dine & feast! It’s the perfect hub to take in all this vibrant city has to offer, finding a balance between the hustle & bustle and tranquillity of country life.

Beautiful and stylish barn conversion near York

The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

Gingerbread cottage is a lovely spacious home from home with a ground floor en-suite bedroom and 2 first floor bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom. Approx 4 miles from York city centre and 1.5 miles from York racecourse. Free on street parking outside the cottage. It’s the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire dales, Skipton and Ilkley or taking in the beautiful Yorkshire coastal towns of Whitby,Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and lovely market towns of Helmsley, Malton.

Field House Farm Owl Lodge is nestled within the rural countryside offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The lodge is situated in a corner of our smallholding between York and Selby. Walk across the countryside to the local pub or Skipwith Common. 7 miles to York Designer Outlet retail park or catch the bus from there to visit York. Towels, bedding & toiletries included. 1 well-behaved dog welcome, please keep out of bedroom. Adult only, no children. No smoking.

5 miles from York City Centre, Naburn House is situated in the heart of the picturesque, riverside village of Naburn. The guest suite has a rural view of the river Ouse, with direct access to the privately owned river bank. The village boasts a local pub, the Blacksmiths Arms, as well as York Marina with Waterfront Cafe Bar, Naburn Locks and the Solar System cycle route. Buses run regularly to Selby, York Designer Outlet and York City Centre.

Country cottage five miles from the City of York

Naburn Grange Cottage is a farm worker’s cottage attached to an 18th century riverside farmhouse in between the villages of Naburn and Stillingfleet. With easy access to York by car, bus, cycle track or (in the summer months) riverbus, you can explore the city’s history or the beauty of the surrounding countryside. This one-bedroomed cottage is well-equipped and private, with the owners next door for information or advice on your visit.

Church Cottage lies in 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the beautiful village of Escrick, 6 miles from the centre of York. The building dates back to 1850 and is also home to an award-winning Thai restaurant. The Garden Room at Church Cottage is a large, ground floor bedroom with en-suite toilet/shower room and kitchenette. There's a super king-sized bed, unshared outside seating and lovely views of the garden.
