Susan's place was exactly what we were looking for for a weekend getaway from Melbourne. It's close enough for an easy drive, lovely scenery, and a very comfortable place to stay. Lancefield was the closest town which had all of the the food and restaurant options we could use. The bed was fantastic, and there were extra blankets, towels, and enough cutlery and crockery for a couple of people on a weekend away. We had tea, coffee, and very kindly some fruit and biscuits for us on arrival which made it feel right at home. The property is listed as pet friendly, and it's so well organised for the pup that we had everything at hand that we needed including towels to keep her dry when it was raining outside. The hot tub was great, and although the weather wasn't fantastic, it was lovely to spend the evening in. I could go on, but if you're reading this, and need a short stay away in the country this is the place to be.

A beautiful estate loved the gardens & the cottage was adorable. We enjoyed our night with our dog who felt like a king! We will recommend and if we are in the area again will come back for longer! Thank you Sharnie we loved reading about the heritage of Craignair house.

Max’s place was beautiful, peaceful and cozy. It had everything we needed with an amazing view. Max was also super proactive and great at communication. Everything was super clean, and had an aesthetic vibe with lovely decorations. Our dog also loved the little lake! Would definitely recommend :)

I could not recommend James’ place more highly. The location is incredible, a little slice of pristine nature - so close to Melbourne but feels like you are hours from civilisation. The house and the camping areas were even better than we had expected. Thanks James

Lovely place, private and with views to sheep on farm next door, which we all interacted with. Clean and real genuine country feel and ‘vibe’. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Felt right at home.

We had a beautiful stay at the A frame. Stunning inside and set amongst giant trees plus walking distance to the lake. Our last day was rainy so we gathered around the fire and the fondue set and put a record on! Great memories! The second bedroom is possibly best for small children.

Beautiful and spacious house! Very clean with all the amenities. Easy to reach and get in. Only problem..didn’t manage to connect to WiFi. Would still recommend it!

Kerry is a very warm and welcoming host. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. Lovely surrounds and not too far from all the attractions in Ballarat. We'll definitely be back.

We loved our weekend getaway at the Daylesford Bush Retreat! The house was neat and clean with everything you need to relax. Really nice bathroom too, which is important to us 😉. Untouched bushland all around to explore and only 8 min drive into town make this a place we’ll come back to, thanks!

Really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was perfect - really cosy, comfy beds and sofa and the kitchen had all the appliances and equipment you need. The location is lovely with a wonderful aspect to wake up to each morning. Having the Domino Trail on your doorstep was an added bonus. We also really appreciated that our hosts went to the trouble of providing good quality fixtures and items in the cottage. It meant everything worked and it was a pleasure to stay there.
