Sam & Nicki were wonderful, my drive to NC took much longer than expected so I arrived late in the evening. They both were flexible and accommodating. The Shack was very comfortable, bedding, kitchen had everything you could need, great shower. Clean, quiet, peaceful and private. Fresh eggs and water along with new pillows provided with out request, eggs delicious! Woke up to be greeted by a friendly cow, pony and horse. I had to leave early my sister had a sudden heart attack and passed away, Sam and Nicki could not have been more kind. Told me to leave the shack without worry for cleaning it up, although I did my best in such a distraught state. They followed up to make sure I made it back safely and sent kind and comforting words and prayers. I hope I an able to one day revisit and would recommend a stay at the shack should u be in the area. Thank you for your hospitality, flexibility, fresh eggs, and understanding. Bless to have had the opportunity to spend time at the shack 💙🙏

The best place to come and relax honestly. Loved it. I told all my family about this place.

Sunny's place was everything I hoped it would be. I was looking for a quiet space away from the chaos of motherhood to work on a few projects and Sunny was incredibly welcoming. The house is clean and inviting. Decor is peaceful and the view of the lake is unbeatable. The home is pet friendly, and the hosts even provide a sweet bed for your pup and food and water bowls. The gravel road to the house is well maintained, and Mena, the on site manager, is available for any questions finding the home or questions during your stay. Additionally, the two neighbors I bumped into were warm and friendly. I am looking forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you Sunny!

A wonderfully peaceful stay surrounded by nature. The place was clean, cute, and thoughtfully arranged. A great stay for us and our dog.

If I could rate Gene and Connie's place higher than 5 stars, I would! My husband and I have stayed at several Airbnbs, and this was the BEST, by far. It was the perfect spot for peace and relaxation. The surroundings were magical!

The best rental house I’ve ever booked. There was nothing missing. I appreciated that they provided basic cooking supplies like oil, salt, pepper, etc and they provided hand soap, dish washing liquid, etc. that many other rentals do not provide. The extra towels for the lake and hot tub were a huge help. If I had to pick one negative to point out to renters, it would be that if you have kids under 3 you will have to watch them very closely with the open stairs. But the rest of house, grounds, furniture, etc are all kid friendly. The house and grounds are beautiful, just as described. The host is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We had another fantastic stay at Liberty Getaway—our third time visiting for family reunions! Titus, Andrea and Barry are awesome hosts who keep everything in mint condition. Our three little kids loved the swing set and making s’mores at the fireplace with the provided firewood. The new updates, like the comfy sofa and fresh paint, made the place even more inviting. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings and took day trips to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer and the Dan Nicholas Park, both of which are perfect for kids. Its convenient location really helps us unite the family, and we can’t recommend Liberty Getaway enough. We look forward to coming back again!
