My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

We loved our week at Ivy Cottage. Our boys loved the football nets and we all loved the hot tub! The house had everything we needed and we really appreciated the little added extras that made it feel very homely. Great location too. We’ll be back!

As always we had a wonderful stay at the Old Piggery. Sue and Phil are so welcoming and the property is exceptional in every way. We found it hard to leave and are already looking forward to another visit

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Thanks Ben, we had a great weekend at Stanley Cottage. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches, dog treats, human treats, phone chargers, hair straighteners, bathroom products!! The cottage was very comfortable and the hot tub a welcome pause, thank you.

We went as a family for a 60th birthday. Anna was such a good host, very informative and very helpful. The house was so well laid out for such an occasion, the kitchen was a hub of activity making family meals . It was so nice to feel right at home from the start. All the facilities have been carefully thought out. The hot tub was a very welcome addition. The house is in an ideal spot for days out in beautiful Northumberland. we had a really relaxing 3 days in a beautiful home and will definitely return.

Mark’s and Michelle’s home is by far the best place we’ve stayed in. Everything’s exactly what was in the description— all the amenities are well cared for and the attention to detail are well thought of. So you can also expect a luxurious and pleasant getaway for a reasonable price. Thank you again to you both for your warm hospitality! We’ve had perfect and relaxing weekend rest. We’ll for sure come back— a little longer stay next time.

Loved this cottage - comfortable, cosy and clean, and a very generous welcome basket from the host. The location was fantastic with a great beach and dog friendly places to eat out in the village. It was also a good base to travel to other places in Northumberland for days out. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage that had everything we neede! in beautiful surroundings. Debi and Mike were really great hosts who communicated well, as well as going the extra mile by putting birthday decorations up for my husband's birthday! We'll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at the Quirky house in a great location. Diane was very attentive if we needed anything and for any questions we might have also lots of information of places to eat and visit in the area .

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! Had a lovely stay here. Great location in the centre of the village but still peaceful. The house had everything we needed. Very friendly staff on the hotel reception. We would love to come back.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was clean & tidy, loved the wood burner, the bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom…very comfy bed. Loved the garden with lots of different seating areas, beautiful view & very peaceful. A 2 minute walk up to the town for shops, restaurants & bars & a 5 minute walk down to the dairy milk bar for fabulous ice creams & milkshakes. Lots of gorgeous near by walks too. A lovely stay & would definitely book again. Thank you Pam.

Beautiful cottage 5 mins from beach. Very clean and tidy, milk in fridge on arrival for a much needed cuppa. Good communication from Nick. Would stay again.

This was the perfect accommodation for us for our first holiday with a toddler. The house is immaculate and spacious with everything you could possibly need. The location is also ideal for being a stones throw away from so many things to do. Newbiggin beach is literally less than 2 minutes walk from the house, and is very pretty. Although for a toddler I would recommend one of the beaches slightly further up the coast for softer sand. Peter was a great host, clear instructions and quick responses to any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle this cottage is definitely for you. A nice relaxing space with an enclosed private garden where you can sit with your hound and watch the birds. Rupert was a superb host, we can highly recommend the home made jam and bread!

We had a great family gathering to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with our eldest son and his family next door in #12 and our youngest and wife with us. I am partially disabled due to a fall after our initial booking and expressed my concern about the showering facilities before arriving. Michael responded to this by adding grab rails, shower stool and mat before our arrival. Full marks for that. I had also been concerned by the prospect of climbing stairs, but managed them well enough. The cottage was light, bright and very clean . It is 5 minutes to Cullercoats Bay beach, albeit down a steep hill. There is Co-Op store 5 minutes walk in the other direction. Didn't try the Queen's Head but did go to the free jazz lunchtime session in the Cullercoats Crescent Club and was made most welcome. We would use this cottage again if the occasion shoud arise.

The cottage was wonderful and we loved our stay! If you’re on the taller side you’ll have to duck to get into the shower, and it is right above a train line so if you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs but the walls are so thick you can hardly hear! Does get a bit cold but the log fire helps, we would definitely recommend x
