Gingerbread cottage is a lovely spacious home from home with a ground floor en-suite bedroom and 2 first floor bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom. Approx 4 miles from York city centre and 1.5 miles from York racecourse. Free on street parking outside the cottage. It’s the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire dales, Skipton and Ilkley or taking in the beautiful Yorkshire coastal towns of Whitby,Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and lovely market towns of Helmsley, Malton.

A compact but modern, airy space with plenty of light and everything you need for a comfortable stay in the beautiful historic city of York. Fully self-contained with oven and Hob, fridge-freezer, sink and counter-top eating space. Comfortable sofa with a TV in the living room/kitchen and a separate bedroom. Guests can request a double bed or 2 small singles, as required (if no preference is given we will make up a double bed). Separate wet-room with w/c, power shower and sink.

Self-contained peaceful studio, close to York

Modern studio annex to 1850s cottage with its own access, close to to the stunning city of York. Looks onto big family garden, feels like a country retreat but only 20-25 minutes' easy and beautiful river walk from city centre. Well behaved pets welcome. Should the annex be booked for your preferred dates, do look up our shepherds hut. Please note that ‘cancelled dates’ mentioned in the March 2020 reviews were due to government Covid regulations - not us!
