Welcome to Hearth & Hobbit, Columbia's most beloved home! Originally built in the late 1800s as a two room cabin, this historic cottage is known locally by many names such as the Gingerbread House, Hansel & Gretel House, or the Elf House. You will love this whimsical and cozy home full of historic details. Located less than one mile from Columbia's downtown district and Mizzou. **All guests must acknowledge/accept the rental agreement prior to booking. This is in the "House Rules" section**

The Bunk House

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. With this adaptation, you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We provide foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind the bunkhouse. Fire ring available. No pets. The water is from our deep well - tested, certified and delicious!

The Fox Cottage

Welcome to our cozy retreat in the heart of Columbia. Home of the Mizzou Tigers, True/False Film Festival, Katy Trail, historic downtown, and much more! Located within a 1 mile drive to downtown, your home away from home includes off-street parking, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, patio, and fenced back yard. We have a delightful mother-in-law apartment that is perfect for families, business travelers, girls' weekends and more. The space includes two large bedrooms (one on the main level and one upstairs), a living room, kitchenette (no oven/stove) and bathroom, and it is fully furnished. We are pet-friendly, but charge an extra $50 to your reservation fee. Please let us know if you plan to bring a pet.
