This place felt cozy and felt like home. Since we have little ones they loved the theater room. Watched lots of movies and lots of popcorn. Bedrooms very spacious and comfortable. This place is on top of our list for future getaways.

My wife Labri and I loved Meri’s cabin. It was the perfect place for a nice relaxing weekend away. We felt right at hime from the second we arrived. The soaking tub is super nice and a perfect place to wind down at night. The square hammock is a great place for star gazing. We didn’t end up using the firepit due to high winds but I’m sure it would be nice. The cabin has everything you need for a romantic getaway. The dirt road up to the place is very bumpy and you have to go pretty slow so be prepared for that. I recommend you bring all the food and drinks you need so you don’t have to go out a lot. The cabin is only 30 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park, which is a must see. All in all the place is perfect and highly recommend you stay here.

Janet was a great host, offering her help before and during the stay. The place was super kid-friendly and doggie-friendly. This made our life a lot easier. Thanks so much for a great weekend!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. It was a last minute booking and katt was friendly and hospitable! from accomodating a late check in/out to preheating the jacuzzi and ensuring we had everything we needed. It was alittle hard to find at night but everything else was spot on and beautiful!! Next time we are in Big Bear, we will definitely be reconsidering this airbnb!

When you step inside this quaint little cabin, you can’t help but feel right at home. We loved the open space of the living room and kitchen. After a day of hiking, the hot tub on the back porch was just what we needed to relax and unwind.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay to relax for the weekend. This place was exactly what we wanted. Already looking forward to staying there again. We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed the open living area and nice back deck.

My son and I have been visiting Idyllwild a few times a year since he was a young teen. We've stayed all over town, and we like Astrid's best so far. We came this time to lock ourselves in for the weekend of Alien Day (iykyk) to watch all of the movies. I chose this place because of the living room and TVs, and my son loved bringing his vinyl to spin. It was perfect for our niche trip. The photos don't do the place justice. It's cozy and interesting and filled with cool little details in each space. All of the instructions are clear, and Astrid is beyond helpful when answering ridiculous little questions. From the windows we saw deer families, chonky squirrels, and a very proud blue jay. At dusk, we heard the adorable clicks and commotion of resident bats. Astrid's place is perfect for families, couples, grown siblings. It's got great common areas and private rooms. A fantastic place that we will stay in again as soon as we have a chance.

Amanda was very responsive. Enjoyed our stay in her very peaceful and quiet home. Beds and living room furniture are extremely comfortable. It’s about a 16-20 minute walk into downtown Idyllwild. However if walking with kids or pets be mindful that there are no sidewalks. I would suggest only walk it in daylight. Town folk are extremely friendly and resourceful. Would definitely stay again. We had a wonderful stay at Peaceful Pines! The cozy cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. The backyard is a huge blessing and allowed us to have some time together without our pups. Jay is a kind person and welcomed us when we arrived. We are hoping to make this an annual trip! Thank you Jay 🐾

I wish I could live in that cabin forever! They have everything you need and It’s exactly what you’d want if your goal is to get away from the city and live in nature. There was nothing better than sitting by that fireplace on a chilly night with a drink. 10/10 would stay again!

We had a great stay at Jeff and Lizzie's. The house comfortably accommodated six people and was extremely cozy. There are also nice places to sit outside on the front porch or the hammocks outback, to enjoy the quiet with a good book. The house is conveniently located to the center of Idyllwild. The house was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We hope to have an opportunity to stay here again soon!

Thank you so much for letting my family and I make a home out of your cabin for a few days! We celebrated our youngest daughter’s 6th birthday while we were there. We didn’t expect snowfall so that was definitely a plus! The home was beautiful and our stay was more than pleasant! Thank you again for everything! Lots of love from my family to yours! 🩷

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Lisa’s cozy cabin. Even though we booked just a few hours before our planned arrival, Lisa was accommodating and communicative. For nearby activities, we highly recommend the Suicide Rock hike via the Deer Springs Trail, as well as grabbing a bite at the Atomic Cow, which offers affordable eats like delicious burgers, chili cheese fries, and even Dole Whip. The rest of our time was spent relaxing in the cabin and soaking in the peaceful surroundings—it was the nice little escape from busy city life.

Our stay was magical. The cabin was immaculate and beautiful. We felt right at home and loved our time in Idyllwild.

Had a wonderful time at Wavy Pines. The cabin is spacious, rustic, and cozy - with everything we needed for a getaway in Idyllwild. Great kitchen and living room setup. Lots of thoughtful details. Very dog friendly. The cabin feels quite secluded, surrounded by trees in a peaceful area, but still just a quick drive to town. Jonah was an incredibly helpful host as well, always communicative and flexible as our travel plans changed last minute. 10/10 :)

A wonderful and welcoming place! We felt right at home and everything was clean and comfortable. Town was only a few minutes walk so the location is excellent. I would definitely stay here again. Suzanne was fantastic! She was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. She checked on us to make sure everything was okay. Excellent host!

Don and Julie were perfect hosts, and the cabin is heaven on earth! Very comfortable, clean, and warm place to spend the weekend. The courtyard garden area was a treat to look at, plenty of lovely art and great birdwatching. Don was very nice to talk to, and provided some helpful local recommendations. We will be staying here again next time we’re in Idyllwild!

This was our second year in a row staying at Sarah’s place. It was again a great place for our family of five to stay. We love having a fenced in yard for the kids to play in. The sleds in the shed were great for fun days of playing in the snow nearby. We love the location. If you go up the 38 about 10 minutes there are great spots right off the road for sledding and snow play. If you get there by 10am then you can easily find a spot before the day trippers arrive. There are many hiking paths close by as well. The dryer was especially helpful to dry out snow play clothing items. The kitchen could use a large frying pan because cooking pancakes or scrambled eggs for five was cumbersome in the medium sized pan. Also, it would be nice if the bathroom had washcloths in addition to the bath and hand towels. Overall we had a great stay and plan to come again in the future!
