Paradise River Retreat is literally feet away from the beautiful Hiwassee River. Fishing, kayaking, tubing, or just sitting by the fire awaits you. This unique cabin sits on 1.5 wooded acres, sleeps 6, includes two decks with outdoor sitting and cooking area, fire pit, and direct access to the river. Just 3 minutes away from John C. Campbell Folk School and less than 5 miles to downtown Murphy where you will find local shops, dining, and the small town atmosphere that will have you wanting more.

The MidKnight Bus~Trout Creek, Petting Zoo

Visitors will leave the hustle and bustle of reality behind as they cross a wooden bridge and step onto grounds reminiscent of some of the world’s most well-loved fairytales and stories. Guests will be charmed by the quirky Scottish double-decker bus many magical guests would expect to see zipping through tight spaces and stopping to rescue wizards and witches in a pinch.   We also have a petting zoo and certified trout creek on the property. Garden tub in the master bathroom for a nice relaxing time if you come without kids. 5 minute drive to Murphy, The Folk School, McGuires Farm and the Tri County Race Track. Its a 10-12 minute ride to the Casino.

This is a four season vacation spot. Create your own memories in the western North Carolina mountains by Lake Chatuge! Enjoy great hiking, boating, fishing, and much more! Take advantage of the hiking and biking on the Jack Rabbit Mountain trails along the shores by Lake Chatuge. Winter discounts available from January 1 until March 31. OPTIONAL MINI COTTAGE (for a third bedroom that sleeps 2) with Queen sized bed and TV but no extra bathroom for an extra $25 per night plus $25 cleaning.

Our quiet apartment with mountain views on Lake Chatuge. You have access to kayaks and even a deep water dock if you have a boat. We are located near lots of hiking trails, wonderful shops and restaurants and near the John C. Campbell Folk School. Our place is dog friendly and a great place to enjoy and explore the area.
