Private house with a cosy decor in the hearth of the Slieve Felim Way walking trail which starts in Murroe and ends in the Silvermines, Co. Tipperary and the trail is approximately 43 kilometres long. We are 5 minutes to Clare Glens, 10 minutes to Newport town and Murroe Village which hosts Glenstal Abbey, 34 minutes to Limerick city, 30 minutes to the scenic village of Killaloe,46 minutes to Shannon and 2 hours to Dublin Airport. Tea/Coffee and welcome breakfast pack provided on arrival.

We are located in a peaceful rural countryside setting 3 mins (by car) from Newport town, 12 mins from University of Limerick/Castletroy, 15 mins from Limerick City centre and 40 mins from Shannon Airport. This self-catering house is cozy, warm and spacious. Electric gates at main entrance.The house is situated on a working Dairy farm, in a small picturesque village, Birdhill, Co.Tipperary. Only a 15 minutes drive to Limerick / University of Limerick. 20 minutes drive to The Crescent Shopping Centre. 7 minutes drive to the picturesque villages of Ballina/Killaloe. 15 minutes drive to Nenagh. 40 minutes drive to Shannon Airport. An ideal base to tour the mid-west region.

Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

The Cottage is modernly decorated, fresh and clean and comfortable. Bathroom includes electric shower i.e. constant hot water. Kitchen living room spacious. Solid fuel Stove in living room also storage heating. Free Parking available. Situated near main residence so host available for any queries yet plenty privacy. Situated in a scenic East Clare countryside 10 min drive from the nearest town of Killaloe, lots of walking/hiking trails.
