Scott School Cottage Stay at Scott School

Scott School was a Campbell County one-room school from 1905 to 1928. In 2010, Scott School was renovated and serves as a lovely tea room and quiet location for guests. The cottage is complete with two bedrooms (one twin, one full), central HVAC, full kitchen, and televisions. Points of interest nearby are: Red Hill-last home and burial place of Patrick Henry (5 miles), University of Lynchburg (30 miles), Liberty University (25 miles), Randolph College (30 miles), and Appomattox (22 miles).

One bedroom/ terrace apartment. Apartment has a full kitchen and deck area. There is a private parking space (room for two cars) and private entrance. The bedroom has a full bed. There is also a full air mattress for extra guests. The bathroom is off of the bedroom. We are about 6 minutes from Liberty University, 8 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Lynchburg College and 20 minutes from the hospitals. Discounts are given for stays seven or more days. The television is a Roku.

A peaceful, quiet, and cozy home on 36 acres of beautiful land that rests just 5 minutes from Hampden-Sydney College and 10 minutes from Longwood University. The farmhouse is a wonderful destination for those looking for a quiet place to stay in a farm setting. Surrounded by hayfields, cow pastures, and mature hardwood trees, this third generation home, dating back to 1919, provides ample space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. Recently renovated using wood cut from the property and farmhouse style decor (Joanna Gaines inspired), this home is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Hill of Beans

One bedroom, basement apartment in well kept house. The apartment is furnished with antiques and set on the corner of a farm with good views. The apartment has a private entrance and parking just outside the door. We are a retired but active couple who live upstairs. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker and is stocked with coffee, tea, coffee fixings, snacks, and light breakfast items. We are 25 minutes to downtown Lynchburg and 20 minutes to Appomattox.

A Perfect Country Getaway

Heron Hill 49 is a place for people who want to unplug, get away, and appreciate the quiet of country life. It’s an ideal space to relax or to work without distractions. Fiber optic internet is provided; cell service is limited. (We recommend wi-fi calling.) Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.

Beautiful, spacious, private backyard with porch swing, tree swing, and outdoor lighting. Includes kitchenette with fridge/freezer, Keurig, microwave, toaster, small convection oven (big enough to cook a frozen pizza), as well as a small supply of snacks/breakfast items. Gorgeous tile bathroom with claw foot tub. Couch and loveseat for relaxing. Hulu and Netflix included, as well as board/card games. Includes desk area for studying/working.
