The Saddlerock Guesthouse is located just 2 miles inside the Colorado/New Mexico border. Branson is home to beautiful views of mesas and wide-open prairies. If you are looking for a quiet, quaint place to relax or go hiking, the Guesthouse is a perfect fit! Branson is a small town with hardly any amenities, so if you are looking to get away from it all, this is your place! We have had several Guests stay for the express purpose of star gazing! This little historic home was built just before the turn of the century and was one of the early homes in Raton. If you have a larger group please consider booking the Casita and/ or the Gallery House as well! They sit right next door and are equally cool spots! Thoughtfully updated to maintain its historic charm and add modern amenities. We've added fiber-optic wifi, mini split heat, and air, recessed LED lighting, a 5-burner gas range with oven, flat screen smart TV, and lots of original art!

Our beautiful unique 1912 casita has been totally renovated, yet hasn’t lost its vintage charm . We are two artists (Blanca & Paula) that filled our newly restored casita with repurposed furniture, recycled art “mainly made by us” but also has modern amenities. Our colorful casita is definitely eye catching from the ski picket fence to our bowling ball garden. Our casita is more than a night stay it’s a unique artful experience. Our hope is that you leave here inspired .

Charming Train Depot built in 1890

Enjoy a piece of railroad history! This train depot, built in 1890 was once located in Maxwell, New Mexico. This piece of history is beautifully refinished and is located in the country club addition of Raton. The nostalgic kitchen has the original writing on the walls, as the passengers went through and signed their names. The signatures are now kept behind plexiglass to preserve the handwriting.

A short 5 minute walk to the heart of downtown Trinidad, close to restaurants, parks , museums, and the river walk. Catch the trolly for a free guided tour of our town or travel 40 minutes west to some of the most beautiful mountains in Colorado. Fishers Peak State Park and Trinidad Lake State Park are a short drive away.
